The Doctor at site is good. Does all the usual exams. Service personnel in there are misleading and will rip you off on the products. They will not promote their specials unless asked for. Check out Lenscrafter store nearby and you can tell the big difference in service and products. We had insurance, but the store promotion were better than insurance, but the personnel at "site for sore eyes" didn't bother to inform about it. Lenscrafter stores always do. When we went to pick up the Prescription lens, no cases or cleaning cloth were provided, the Frames were loose and not symmetric like the new frames should be. The item was just handed over in the hand and bye bye. On complaint to manager, we were offered second pair...but the priscription lens put on it was wrong.. The second pair was no better than a lens you get a dollar stores or grocery stores for less than $10. The Cost - For Less than the same cost, at Lenscrafter we got a Pair of prescription glasses with a expensive frame and 2 pairs of RayBan Sunglasses. Not to mention the great service and how they treat you like VIP at Lenscrafter. So unless you are out of your senses, I don't see any reason why you would want to get ripped knowingly. I went here for a few pairs of glasses, and I enjoyed their large selection of frames. Also, they didn't seem to mind if I stopped by with my crooked glasses and asked them to straighten them, usually giving them an additional polish in the process. It's also very conveniently located in central Fremont. more

Site for Sore Eyes is a great place to pick up a new pair of glasses (or contacts). They carry hundreds and hundreds of different lens and frame styles. The best part of the appointment is usually running around the store and trying on anything and everything. The medical exam itself is pretty standard, the doctors tend to be thorough and go through all the necessary eye tests for distance and health. It's just like any other standard optometrist I've been to, except for the fact that you can choose from more than one doctor within the same office. more
