A bunch of dishonesty crooks! 12/14/2010

I purchased a stereo from Stereo City in June 2010. I lost several features in my car when the radio was installed and was told for an extra $140 (the same amount I paid for my radio) they can ?fix? the lost features. Less then three months later my stereo stop working and it caused one of my front speakers to blow out. I returned to have them fix the problem, but they wouldn?t even look at my car unless I paid a $35 diagnostic fee. I took my business elsewhere and had all my speakers replaced. A month later, the radio stopped working again. After some research and getting several stereo shops to look at my car, I found out I was sold a defect radio. Stereo City tried to hustle me because I didn?t have my receipt but I showed proof from my bank. I was given the option of either paying $120 difference for a new radio that was supposedly worth $260, or pay $50 for the shipping & handling of my defect radio in exchange for the store display model! I was not happy and Juan the sale person went to the back to speak with the owner Yasser and brought the payment difference down to $90. I demand to get all the quotes in writing and left the store. I contact several stereo shops and found out that the ?$260 radio? was worth less then what I originally paid! I also contact the mfr of the radio but they couldn?t help me because I didn?t have the originally receipt (I found out later on that Stereo City do keep copy of their receipts). Moral of the story: Do not do business with Stereo City & if you do keep your receipt and make copys! more

I love em over there 11/18/2009

I have been going there for a couple years now and have had nothing but positive experiences. When there is a problem, I simply come in and they fix it. They don't charge me to fix a mistake they may have made and the prices there are pretty damn good. I don't know if it's because I went in there in a good mood and with a good attitude that got me such excellent service, but I certainly reccomend that approach to anyone. I guess you do get what you pay for but you also get what you give. I went in positive and got very positive results. I send all my friends there and they get nothing but top notch service as well. more

The worst work and customer service ever!!!!! 12/12/2007

We took in our brand new car (34 miles) to get a sub installed. The next day we washed it and noticed a scratch on the running board on the drivers side and we no longer had reception for the radio. So I took it back in the following week to show them the scratch and asked if they could reconnect my antenna back to the deck. They said that they didn't scratch the car because they install the wire from under the hood. So I asked ""doesn't the sub wire connect to the back of the deck and don't you need to get under the dash to do that?"" He said no! Then I said ""isn't the wire ran on the driver side to the trunk?"" he said yes, but they don't lean in the car to do it. I said ""Whatever!"" Then I asked if they can please plug my antenna back in. He said, I doubt its your antenna, but I can check it out for $25.00. I'm like, WHAT? I told them that they were ridiculous and left. So then a few days later we were leaving for dinner and when the kids got in the back there weren't any seatbelts. When they finished installing and put my seat back in they forgot to pull the seatbelts out. It doesn't just pull out you have to unbolt the whole seat. I've tried reaching the belts with my hand. I went in there nice, knowing we can buff out the scratch but expecting them to hook up my antenna. I was shocked on how I was treated. I will never do business with them again!!! And I will be sure to let people know how horrible their service is!! Cons: Horrible work and service more

Ya get what ya pay for. 6/8/2002

While boasting a great price you truly get what you pay for in the form of a low price but it is to include an inexperienced staff and inablility to work with you after the installation. Yes, your car starts and so does the stereo we just installed but as for any other electronics such as your turn signals or breaklights, well, you have to take it to a shop to have that fixed even though your car was working properly before you had the stereo installed. Employees dress awfully and look like they were just parolled. No one can answer a question if you have one, you must wait for the Manager and pray you speak his language. Most of the stock is openly displayed, dusty and appears to have been used before. I would not recommend this place to anyone. You get what you pay for- literally. Pros: location, price Cons: dusty old/used stock, very unprofessional, In experienced staff more
