Only If You Like Steinbeck! 7/28/2005

I first visited the Steinbeck Museum when I was in the sixth grade and it was brand new. It was definitely interesting because I had read a few of his books and stories about his life. But if you are not a Steinbeck fan then definitely do not visit this museum. It is filled with all this books, places he has traveled, pictures, things he used to own, and more! It is fun the first time but if you go more then once it can kind of get old. more

Mixed Review for Steinbeck Museum 7/27/2005

I definately like what they have done with the museum to honor Steinbeck, the great literary writer from Salinas. But I would not recommend that you visit the museum more than one or two times. I have been there probably five times and know everything that is in the museum. I would not buy a membership, because you will not use it. I had one and never used it the entire year. Although perks do come with your membership. The opening of the new Maya Cinema had a preview three days before it opened, which showed four different films and had free food. The museum is also used for meetins and events. more
