After reading the reviews on city search I decided to give this place a try. We arrived at closing and the staff was courtious and agreed to serve us which was cool. I thought the staff was great for a place where I'm sure they get paid peanuts. The food however, while not disgusting, was more like something I would expect in SLC or some other land locked city. Seattle has amazing seafood and I seriously doubt this place has any local regulars. It is basically for tourists like myself who decided to roll the dice. I has fish and chips, chowder, and coleslaw. The slaw was fresh but not very good and the rest tasted like it came off a cisco truck which it probably did. Pros: location Cons: food sucks more

HORRIBLE...HORRIBLE...STAY AWAY 4/5/2009

i have never been so horrified ...the restaurant was filthy and as i was standing there waiting for my order i actually saw the prep cook eating the leftover right in plain view...could not believe my eyes...\r there was tons of garbage on the floor....argh..need i say more ...i don't think this place ir going to be in business much longer... btw the food was terrible..\r the ceasar i ordered...most of the lettuce was wilted and the dressing was a cheap vinegrette...also the fish i order was undercooked and the fries were at least a 2 days old... Pros: location Cons: horrible horrible food...filthy filthy restaurant... more

Beware of the salmon and chips 7/19/2008

Great location but it can get crowded during tourist season. Service was good. The place could have been cleaner, some of the tables weren't wiped down. I ordered salmon and chips. Beware--the batter on the salmon was way too thick and greasy. The batter wasn't cooked all the way through because of the thickness and very doughy. A friend ordered the chicken focaccia sandwich and said it was good. The cod had a thinner, lighter batter and was crispy. Pros: location Cons: can be crowded, not the cleanest more

I've ate there multiple times and the food and service are consistent! Pros: Great food, quality, fast service Cons: For the price, the portions coulld be a little bigger. more

Perfect place on the waterfront 8/3/2007

Good clams, tasty chowder and awesome fish tacos. They have pitchers of beer available and outdoor seating. Definitely the best way to spend a summer afternoon in Seattle! Pros: Cheap seafood and great beers Cons: Too many people know about it! :) more

Closes at 8pm SHARP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 9/5/2005

They list a closeing time of 8pm but it's actually 7pm. Try to get hot food and good service after 7:30pm. Good luck Pros: Food tastes good Cons: Slow service, Cold food, Bad service >7:30pm more

Great alternative for cod! 10/2/2004

Cod is really good - flatter pieces than Ivars, but have the great Panko crust. Yum. French fries are excellent w/ pepper added. Get a 3 piece to go and take it down the dock and eat w/ the view. What happened to the one in Bellevue Sqr? :-( Pros: Large pieces of fish, leftovers reheat well, great to-go service Cons: , tourists more

They're Great!! 7/4/2004

What a place to have a pitcher of beer, fresh steamed clams and watch the world go by on a great sunny afternoon on the Seattle Waterfront. This place is what Seattle's all about!! Pros: fresh seafood, not too pricey, great menu choices more

Pesto Salmon Sandwich!! 7/26/2002

I have become addicted to the pesto salmon sandwich at Steamer's Seafood Cafe, get it with the Caesar salad and you have the best lunch in Seattle. That and a micro brew on the deck with views of the Olympics and Puget Sound-it doesn't get any better than this! Pros: views, service, ambiance more
