An absolutely SUPERB chiropractor -- the best!!! by Jaybird52 at Citysearch Dr. Waling is an astonishingly great chiropractor who is also a neuropathy specialist. After I suffered a severe cervical nerve impingement and three neurosurgeons were telling me I absolutely had to have major surgery to fuse multiple neck vertebra, he brought me back to vigorous and entirely pain-free health without surgery! Several years later, I'm better than I've ever been. Even though I live in Wallingford, I go to Queen Anne to see him instead of chiropractors near my house because, IMHO, he's a lifelong learner, natural healer, and far and away the best chiropractor in Seattle. The person who wrote that horrible stand-alone negative review is clearly the nut, not Dr. Waling. I suspect that person has emotional troubles or some weird axe to grind that has nothing to do with this superb doctor and the attentive and unique care one receives at Starr Chiropractic. more

Iam a machinist and I have had low back and mid back pain for years from standing on my feet all day . I have been too many chiropractors in the past but I haven't had the releif I got from Dr. Waling. He is the best. I would recomend him to anyone. more

Dr. Waling and staff are wonderful and very professional. Dr. Waling is always striving to learn the latest and newest chiropractic techniques. He uses holistic healing and is concerned with whole body health. I always leave his office feeling wonderful. He uses an instrument called the Proadjuster that is so gentle that adjustments are a breeze. more

UGH! You know how you just get a bad feeling about some places? Well, Starr Chiropractic is one of those places. I went in with moderate back pain and was subjected to the strangest chiropractic treatment I've ever received. I actually left more uncomfortable and creeped out than when I got there. The doctor is strange and uses really bizarre treatments. I've been to several chiros and his methods were highly unusal. I agree with some of the other posts that this guy is only interested in repeat business. The receptionist was also really scatterbrained. She mixed my file up with another and billed my insurance incorrectly. I left the office angry and weirded out. more

Terrible experience. Left in more pain than when I arrived and felt like the doctor was only concerned with getting me back in for more appointments. I will definitely not be visiting this office again and I encourage you to steer clear as well! more

Please DO NOT, under any circumstance patronize this office!!! "Dr." Waling practices the type of voodoo "medicine" that gives chiropractors a bad name. I went in for an adjustment and was subjected to a series of painful pokes and prods with a variety of frightening contraptions. He didn't lay actual hands on me once. At the end of the poking/proding/tapping/pulsing with electric devices, he rushed me out of the office with orders to have an x-ray. I asked for an adjustment first, since I knew that usually worked for me and he gave me a very unorthodox squeeze (with me standing) that didn't remotely do the trick. I left feeling worse than when I arrived. He was also very quick to let me know that I would need to see him several times a week for an extended period of time. I could practically see the $$ in his eyes. I'd also like to note that his office was eerily empty...not a single other patient. Dude is clearly hurting for business. In addition, the aging receptionist is extremely rude and confrontational. Since my visit to Starr, I have found Dr. Kamel at Eastlake Chiropractic. Dr. Waling is a very effective healer--extremely personable and holistic in his approach to health. He has helped me immensely--not only to relieve back and neck pain, but also has greatly assisted in alleviating a chronic restless leg syndrome condition. I came to Dr. Waling through a referral. I was having multiple issues from my back to headaches to my stomach of all things! I am almost 70 years old, and have been living overseas for over 30 years. I live in Kirkland, but found a highly qualified chiropractor, Dr. Rick Walikng, at the Starr Chiropractic Clinic, on Queen Ann,. I don't mind traveling to Seattle for his very fine services...it is truly worth the time and effort. For many years I have had trouble with my lower back, legs and with walking generally. After doing thorough testing Dr. Rick Waling found the root cause of the problems and with a series of adjustments has elimanated most of my pain in the first few treatement, and with later treatments solved my challenges fully. He also assisted me with nutrtional supplements and advice on diet, etc. If anyone reading this has any pain or neck, spine or back problems, for for that matter any health issue, I highly recommend contacting Dr. Waling and his team. They are truly fine people, friendly, cheerful and fully dedicated to taking good care of all their patients.
