I am pleased to say that I have finally found a Starbucks that has EXCELLENT customer service!

It is a pity that a chain the size of Starbuck's is even on this ""Best of"" list. Heard recently...""Which is your favorite Starbuck's? Mine's by the Jamba Juice."" You might ...

close to SF library and Asian Art Museum 6/5/2007

We go into The City (SF) for museum and art gallery related work/play/hobby. We are usually coming from Hayward so we take Bart into the Civic Center/UN Plaza station, and as we exit, there is our favorite coffee fix right at the top of the MUNI, BART, and F-Line escalator. Great convenient spot to pick up a hot breakfast sandwich or a scone with my Venti Cup-A-Joe to start my day. Fun staff makes it a great place to start my mornings in the City on my way to the main Public Library or the Asian Art museum that we work with. If you must drive into the city there is valet parking behind Starbuck's at the Hotel Whitcomb. We rarely drive, but if we have lot's of art to haul, it's nice to have the option next to my Java-Junkie paradise for my morning caffeine fix. Pros: My favorite coffee and free WiFi Hot Spot Cons: gets very crowded weekday mornings with long lines more

regardless of chain phobia 10/31/2002

Starbucks consistently delivers a good product based on methodology in making coffee. I know we try so hard to be different from America in not accepting chain stores in our neighborhoods. However, I find myself going to Starbucks ,regardless of what city I am in, because I know I will be getting a good cup of coffee. Although I still think service sucks in this city, the overall experience is decent. more

Best Coffee 10/22/2002

Starbucks has the best coffee. It is always fresh, hot and perfectly brewed. Service is usually great. Most other coffee houses serve coffee that is too weak and a little too old. more

starbucks sucks! 10/20/2002

I'm tired of seeing a new starbucks popping up everytime I turn around in this city. Isn't it enough that they almost own a monopoly at all airports? There's nothing GREAT about this chain. Next time you go there ask them to skip the ice on your cold drink and see the server have a crisis...LOL Pros: n/a, n/a, n/a Cons: unflexible service, overpriced, starbucks sux more

Best coffee beans 10/14/2002

Starbucks has been very consistent with the roasts and prices of their many selections of coffee beans from all over the world. I will most likely always buy beans from them, for their consistent pungent aroma and strong flavor. But their isn't anything that differs from one Starbucks from another, distinguishing it in any good way. As another may have already said, it has become the McDonalds of coffee houses, with its corporate agenda, it may take over the coffee world . . . Pros: Consistent roasts, Strong coffee Cons: No personality, non-friendly more

I like my 10/13/2002

Although Starbucks is good on the economy, and may do wonders for Seattle, here it is just the McDonalds of coffee in a world of Gary Danko's. If you like Starbucks, well, then you have never really had REAL roasted coffee (only the blackened, dehydrated, burned kind). Cons: poor quality, too many stores more

Ho Hum 9/13/2002

Starbucks is about as exciting as mud. And, the prices are outrageous. Add to that, they give the pastries to the staff at the end of their shifts. So, why should the staff sell them when the price will be added to the coffee? Think about it! more

blah blah blah 8/29/2002

It is a pity that a chain the size of Starbuck's is even on this ""Best of"" list. Heard recently...""Which is your favorite Starbuck's? Mine's by the Jamba Juice."" You might as well compare Franzia boxed wine to Cakebread Cellars.....Starbuck's is way out of its league in this town. Pros: every street corner Cons: every street corner more

I love their Frappuccino 7/30/2002

When i first tried their Frappuccino's i suddenly got addicted...i mean i never drank coffee like that before. Its like they put something in the drink that makes you have to have more!!!!!!! Pros: good Frappuccino's, Friendly Staff, Inexpensive Cons: slow, crowded more

Real Coffee 7/26/2002

I don't usually drink coffee, but if I have to have a cup of coffee, I got to have their Hot Mocha with lots of whip cream or Mocha Frappacino! Pros: good coffee Cons: not enough tables, store is too cold more

ORDINARY COFFEE... 7/26/2002

You got to be kidding... Starsucks ranked as one of the best coffee..? This is a ranking for coffee not an image... Starsucks coffee sucks big time... Just because they are in every corner of the city doesn't mean you need to go into them. Very ordinary coffee more

Drink Yourself Away. 7/24/2002

Starbucks is an out-of-this-galaxy experience for me. Although I do not want to hate on my favorite place in the world, I really have not dabbled with too many of the competitors on this list, but, WHO CARES! I love the White Mocha with Caramel Syrup added, NOT CARAMEL SAUCE (you have to make sure). But I spend over 10 dollars a day on coffee, normally about 20, so I have tried a lot of different coffees. But it seems like when I go to Starbucks, and WITH NO ONE ELSE, I escape to my java-influenced fantasy world. It relaxes me, along with the Newport (cigarette) that accompanies most of my cups. But, it's alright. Pros: Convenient, Nice bathrooms, Safe Cons: You know I can't, complain about coffee, I absolutely love. more

speedy service 7/22/2002

Being a Starbucks, there really isn't anything special or unique about this establishment. The barristas are friendly, and, you can be in and out of here in 10-15 minutes. more
