When I stepped foot into Star Plastic Surgery I was very nervous. Maureen my consultant made me feel at home immediately. I went in for breast augmentation but ended up getting a breast lift. Dr. Lambie did my surgery and I tell you she worked magic. My breasts are beautiful and I feel confident like I have never felt before. I feel like a new person. I have been wanting a rhinoplasty for ten years to reduce my bulbous and cleft tip - both sides of the family have substantial noses. Part of my fear was that I would have the procedure and I wouldn't look like I belonged in our annual Christmas photo. What if it looked too obvious and fake? Wow!! Why did I wait so long to do this? Probably because I didn't find the right doctor and practice. My experience with Dr. Lambie and Star Plastic Surgery was a "First Class" experience from my first visit through my final post op appointment. Dr. Lambie knew exactly what needed to be done to get the results I was looking for in a full tummy tuck, breast augmentation and lift. She was honest in her opinion when I asked and was professional and comforting with all of my concerns in the first visit. Everyone from the front desk staff to Laurie in consultations and Tomika, the nurse on staff, was professional, friendly and honest as well. Surgery went smoothly. The Surgery Center is quiet, clean and the staff was kind and courteous. It actually reminded me of a nice hotel. Dr. Lambie met with me and my husband prior to surgery and assured me that all should go as expected. This is major surgery and it is uncomfortable, but my results are fabulous!! I didn't think that results like this were possible for someone my age. I would do it all again, just sooner. If you are on the fence about doing this, my advice is don't wait. Dr. Lambie is an artist who know what she is doing. She is passionate about what she does and it comes through in her work. more

I researched credentials, Board Certifications, and then reviews of physicians, as well as meeting with them before choosing Start Plastic Surgery. My first procedure entailed a Breast Augmentation, Lift, and Tummy Tuck. I had an instant rapport with Dr. Lambie and felt that she was honest and addressed all my questions. I did not feel rushed when meeting with her and when I had complications (which can happen with any surgery, due to my body rejecting sutures) she was readily available. She has great bedside manners. I had a great experience the first time, that I went back for a Arm lift and revision of my breast lift in March 2013. Because I had lost a lot of weight years ago, I realized that there was going to be a "cost" for this surgery..and I don't mean financial.....I mean, accepting one scar for another...in this I mean. I carried the extra skin (as a scar) of my former fat self. ...Because I was so self conscious of this I opted for surgery to correct these issues...but that still results in surgical scars. I think some people for get this when they have surgery but to me having the surgical scar is by far easier to deal with than a body that no longer matched how I perceived my new self. Dr. Lambie I heard was leaving and moving to Flordia, I'll be sadden by her departure. However, I still believe that those who Practice in this office have the same ideals. I would still recommend their facilities to others who were looking for educated, board certified Plastic Surgeons. more

I decided to have Lipo on my thighs and knee area because I've had big thighs all my life and wanted to slim them down. I knew that lipo would not lose as far as the scale number, but would definitely show in inches and shape...I feel like I was not told the real as I was told my skin would tighten and not loosen....I have so much loose skin now and my thighs look the same, actually to me worse. I have sunken areas where fat was sucked out and above and below that area bulge out. I wish I would have been told that I would have all this loose skin because I could have opted to maybe having a lift or lipo and skin removal all in one. I also had lipo on my back and like the back of my underarm...same thing. Loose skin! I feel like I wasted my money and have a hefty bill to pay.... more

Although my procedure is only 3 weeks old I can't stop smiling. I wish I hadn't waited so long. Dr Reisin is the best. He made me feel very comfortable and I can't say enough good things about him. The staff is great and they all made me feel comfortable. more

My body is still recovering from December's surgery ..but I feel great just a little sore and still swollen in the hip and back area. but the tummy tuck results are amazing- never had this flat of a stomach since I was young. Dr. Lambie was my surgeon, Christine was my nurse and Julie was my consultant.. with both of my procedures.. I have no regrets thus far... I felt comfortable and relaxed! more

First of all, I have had a plastic/reconstructive surgery before at another practice. After bariatric surgery, large weight loss (some regain) three kids that breast fed, I seriously had my size D breasts in a state where I couldn't get them to be held up in a bra without looking like I had four boobs. I had a tummy tuck from another practice in 2002 and the experience was "ok" but felt production line with little after care. So I decided to check out Star Medical. If you are looking for a quick cheap fix, this is not the practice for you. Unlike my last experience (which was "meh") here you get what you pay for. (or in my case, partially financed for). This is a group of dedicated and skilled individuals who will do everything in their power to get you the results! The BOGO is a nice feature, and made the expense factor seem more worth it at the outset, but after experiencing my breast lift and outer thigh lipo at Star Plastic Surgery, I feel like the breast lift alone was worth every penny. I had more aftercare than originally anticipated, through no fault of my highly skilled Doctor. Multiple return visits to check on my scar's healing process without any additional charges. Dr. Reisen is skilled, professional, and open to any questions and concerns I had. I have his cell phone number in my phone, and when I did call him once on a weekend, he made me feel like I was his most important patient. From the time you first walk into the door, maybe a little intimidated and apprehensive, everyone at Star is positive, open, and not at all condescending. Maureen was my first contact there, and she was very forthcoming as to what to expect in terms of cost, procedure, and results. They didn't promise me a miracle, they assured me of improvement. But every day when I put on my clothes and they FIT because I don't have old granny breasts and thunder thighs anymore....I mentally thank Dr. Reisen and his great Staff. The only reason I gave 4 stars for total experience is of no fault of Star Medical, it is because my own body wasn't fast as I would have liked in healing in one spot and I found that annoying. It's all good now. more

I had a Tummy Tuck in May of 2013 with extensive repair of my abs due to having twins. I am surprised to report that while I was uncomfortable...the pain was WAY better than I expected. I really was scared about the pain and wasn't sure if I could handle it. My scar is way skinnier than I expected too. I thought it would be thick and raised and it's small and about as thin as a pen writes, and it is now January and is barely visible. I did have some complications after surgery (fever and such) and I called Dr. R and he answered his phone right away and took care of everything on the spot. I felt bad bothering him outside of of business hours but he didn't seem to mind at all, and was actually happy I called. The staff is awesome. Everyone is always pleasant. I want a second procedure done and I will be a repeat client. more

The friendly, knowledgeable staff never made me feel uncomfortable (very important) and the care I received from Dr. Lambie was top notch (even more important). This kind of surgery is a very personal and emotional thing to go through and being surrounded by a pleasant, supportive team makes all the difference in the world, in my opinion.
