Best

This is an awesome facility. Whether you're there to watch your sports teams dominate their opponents or enjoying a concert it is a great atmosphere! Especially the Hockey Fans! :...

Worst

I've been to concerts and Lakers games here and have sat in a good variety of places. If you manage to get lower level seats, you're in good shape, have a good time. However...

Staples Center 4/9/2006

I went to the Staples center along with a few of my friends to support the Lakers. I am not really a clippers fan, but I think its a great place to go to, even if you are support the Clippers. The fans are really amazing, and you can feel the intensity that gets you pumped up if you haven't been yet. I have been to the VIP box once with my uncle, and I definitely recommend it - unless of course, you would rather be screaming and cheering with the thousands of other fans. Whatever you choose, the staples center is a great place to go to cheer on your favorite team. more

Great Place For Laker Games 3/16/2006

I've only been to a couple laker games, and it's been worth it. Going to staples is a great experience that a Laker or Clipper fan should go through. What was great is the atmosphere inside the building. You hear a lot of loud music and the loud cheering of fans. You think the fans are loud on tv, just wait and here them at Staples Center. It's probably best to arrive early at a game, because at most Laker games most people arrive late (around the middle of the first quarter). Sometimes if your lucky, you can see stars sitting in courtside seats (a la Jack Nicholson) and sometimes retired Laker players sit with the crowd as well (like Kareem Abdul Jabar and Magic Johnson). I've never been here for a concert, but listening to the music play during the Laker games shows the building has great acoustics. If your a Laker/Clippers/LA Kings fan, you must visit and watch your team at least once. more

Nice! 12/24/2005

For arena concerts, this is a great venue. The seats are on such a steep slope that there really isn't a bad seat and if people in front of you stand up, their head won't be in your way. Also great for NHL games as well. I've been to the VIP boxes a couple times, and they're quite nice. There's a few tvs inside but we couldn't figure out how to turn on the volume (or if we were allowed to), and we had to pay for the food. There's a good variety of consessions, but parking can be expensive (min $10). If you're willing to walk a few more blocks, you can save yourself several bucks by finding cheaper lots. more

FUN! 10/22/2005

I went to the Staples Center a while back to go to a Lakers Game. I got a VIP box and it was just awesome. There was about 10 tvs in the room and a fridge full of drinks. The VIP boxes are great if you don't like crowds because you can invite a few friends and enjoy the peacefulness of being away from the crowded seats. more

Staples Center 9/25/2005

I watched a Lakers basketball game at the Staples Center once and took my sister with me. I won the tickets at work and couldn’t believe my luck. It was the first time for my sister and I and we were both high on adrenaline by the time we arrived. Parking fees were outrageous but at least I didn’t have to pay for the tickets. There were thousands of people there, very crowded but that added to the overall excitement and energy. It certainly was a memorable experience for me and my sister. more

Staples Center 9/24/2005

I went to the Staples Center once with a date to watch the Lakers play. It was such an amazing experience. The atmosphere was really energetic and the place was pretty clean considering the number of people that were there. Parking was terribly expensive though and the food was overpriced but what do you expect? more

Staples Center 8/21/2005

The Staple’s Center is the area where real NBA players play in the NBA. You can watch at the Staple’s Center so it is a good place to go if you are into basketball. You do need to pay for a ticket to the game. During the games you can purchase items and foods. more

nice! 8/20/2005

I was very impressed with the Staples Center. Parking is quite expensive, maybe you can take bus or taxi. The Center is very clean and well kept. There's fast food (hot dogs, popcorn, etc.), and a nice restaurant. Drink prices are definitely over priced, but when you're having fun, who cares! Seating is great, but watch out when you sit in the nose bleed section... feels like you're gonna fall! more

Cool Indoor Stadium 8/19/2005

The Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles is one of the coolest indoor stadium especially if you get to see the games and concerts in the suites. They have special yummies and the don't forget the dessert cart! Outside of the suites is a fully stocked bar and restaurant. On the other levels, they have tons of various vendors and there are some areas that they bring the drinks to you at your seats. We have gone to the Staples Center for various games and concerts and have enjoyed it each and every time. It is a clean stadium with ample parking. It gets expensive with the tickets, parking and food what what can you do? more

nice arena 8/5/2005

I've been to Staples Center a few times for various events. It's a great structure with adequate parking within the building. The main negative thing is the area...it's downtown Los Angeles so there are a lot of scary people out and about at night after games. Also traffic is a nightmare...I was at the E3 Conference a few months ago and it took me thirty minutes to drive three blocks after the conference. So that is definitely a hassle. Other than that it's a great place to check out the Lakers or any of the live events they have there constantly. Odds are you'll have to visit there if you want to see the big concerts in the Southern California area. more

Love it! 8/3/2005

The Staples Center is the perfect venue for viewing a sporting event because it’s huge, it looks really awesome and nice inside, and the seat options are great. If you want to pay more money to see a concert or ball game, then you have that option, and paying that money will put you right up in the front of everything. more

Hot. 7/28/2005

The staples center has got to be one of the most swankified places in the country to catch a hoops game. The boxes are the bomb, they bring you booze, and they have these nice leather chairs, and a little living room area where you can watch the game on tv. But why go all the way to the staples center and pay sick loot just so you can watch the game on the tv? Just to be that guy, I guess. And if you really want to be LA about it, get there just before halftime and leave after the 3rd quarter. more
