Same good ol' neighborhood bar since '65'.when I first came in. The place hasn't changed really since then, as it shouldn't. They still give you that ol' feeling of the atomsphere, makes you feel like your 21 again. The owner of this unique establishment will always greet you as a regular if you've been there even once. The most unque individual would be Carol. As she has been working there for many years. She is very pleasant, AND will check your ID if your under 21or even if your 90. She IS their Rock ! She fills in, bartends, etc. or what ever they need. Mostly this is a place for any age really. During the day there are the regular ol' timers, that have frequented this place for years., as the night tapers the younger crowd shows up. The jukebox varies, and has the best of all from almost anything you want to hear. Beam is their specialty as it is $2 any time. But ask Carol and she will steer you in the right direction. Also ask her about their annual Beam contest, As per closing this tradition for The Stadium Inn, I hope will continue for many more years to come. Decent place to get drunk and play some pool if you're early enough. It can get pretty crowded and there's not a lot of standing room, but if you're just there to drink, it more than serves its purpose. more

I know DU students love this place, and it is always crowded on Thursday and Friday nights, but the place is no sports bar during weekend days. I was there to watch some March Madness last year and we were accosted by a group of skinhead looking types who appeared to be regulars and treated us like we were crashing their pool party because we wanted to watch basketball. All our sound was promptly turned off and replaced with bad eighties hair-metal. While it might be a great party joint at night, there are definitely better places to watch sports during the day with better happy hours and friendlier service - try Smugs just West on Evans and Asbury or Governor's Park on Logan and 7th (their beer specials are great during afternoon football games (buy one get one free tall drafts at happy hour price, $2 for domestic $3.50 for micros and imports). If you want to leave class early and get your drink on, there's hardly a better place than The Inn. Try their Beam and Cokes. It's the only dive in Denver that can properly pour one.
