I come here with friends & family so regularly they know us on sight, and one of my friends actually runs a tab with the kind management!
They serve quality espresso drinks and reasonable brew coffee, their donuts are unmatched in my experience, and they have sorbet as well as gelato -- important for my family member with a milk allergy. Their sorbets are stunningly good, and made with local fruit. (Their gelato is also extremely wonderful, but I usually purchase the sorbet, for uniqueness.) These icy treats start at $2.50. The donuts are baked on weekends -- you can get them Fri, Sat, Sun, and day-old on Mondays. Coffee and a donut is $2-3.
I only rate it 4 stars instead of 5 because of their lack of savory treats, and the somewhat steep price per quantity of their gelato and sorbet -- things that often lead me to other coffeehouses when I'm out alone. The ambiance is also very social, which is great for meeting friends and less good for settling down with a book. I'm still in here at least two or three times a week!
