@Trevorsmom, On Ash Wednesday, SRL has a new Mass every 30 minutes. It's a large parish (over 3K families), and that is one VERY busy day. To keep it orderly, and operating smoothly, they close the doors in the narthex at the beginning of the Mass. At the end, people exit through the side doors, while the faithful gather in the narthex for the next Mass. It's a simple flow in order to keep things moving smoothly. I'm sorry that you were inconvenienced, and I hope that you come back again.
SRL is a great parish, with a warm, friendly feeling. When we moved into the area, it just felt like home as soon as we walked in.
