Bad Customer Service 1/19/2012

We had new hardwood flooring installed last May. One of the boxes was the wrong color of flooring, so we had to agree to use pieces that were rejected from other boxes to finish the job. I have been trying since then to get either a refund for the box that we couldn't use or at least a box of the right color. I returned the unusable box months ago. After many phone calls and messages on my part, I finally had someone agree to look into it but of course I never heard back. Any suggestions on where to take this next? Better Business Bureau? Small claims court? more

Contrary to the previous reviewer, I can't tell you how much I appreciate the manner and timing of Spring Carpet's response to my request. The team did what they said they would do and the floor looks great once again. My list of "pluses" regarding Spring Carpet continues to grow, and I am confident in my recommendation of your store to the people I advise in home remodel. They have a great GM, the best hardwood floor installer in the business, broad product selection at competitive prices, and now I can confidently say that their customer service ROCKS. more

Customer Service:Not Here!!! 12/30/2008

If you are looking for quality and satisfaction, look elsewhere. You will not find that at Spring Carpets. I expected it to be a great flooring experience with such a large dealer, but was sadly disappointed. We had hardwood put into our home and it started to snag and rip. The installation manager determined that it could be "touched up". The guy they sent out said that there was no way that it was a spot job and, that they would have to take the floor completely out. An independent came out and determined that it was an installation and manufacturing issue and that the floor would need to be replaced. There was no way we were going to use the same type of wood and Spring Carpet only gave us one other option. It was not the exact type or color of wood that I had originally wanted, so I had to settle. We then had to be put out again by them coming into our home and tearing it up again. We then had to have someone come in to clean up all the dust in the kitchen, on furniture, window blinds, and carpet again. Of course, Spring Carpet did not compensate us for this. Throughout this experience, the installation manager was very condescending and had no comprehension of customer service. It was like we were putting him out. Save yourself the heartache and please, go somewhere else. Oh yeah, and we still have issues with the new floor that they put in. There is a space between the boards up by the front door and dips elsewhere. We get to look forward to taking off work, so that they can examine and probably not fix it correctly. more
