Best

I've been to many well-known spas in the city: Bliss, Juvenex, Exhale -- but none compares to the massage that I received by Marina at Spring Thyme. She did a good job of concent...

I completely agree with nynativegal's post from last April. I was there in January of this year and I had pretty much the exact same response from my masseuse. I was there once ...

Good massage 4/12/2007

My boyfriend had back pain and I took him to Spring Thyme Spa Manhattan. He enjoyed it and thinks the massage lady is strong and helps get rid of the knots. It's already our second time there. The only thing is that the room does not have nice decor. If you don't mind it, then you should definitely check it out. =)\r \r more

Not a serious sports massage 3/10/2007

As an active person who's had a fair amount of massage therapy, I was looking forward to a sports therapy massage in my neighborhood. The pressure was not good despite the fact I asked the therapist to use more. I got a 90 minute massage and the therapist failed to cover all the broad muscle groups inlcuding the muscles straight down the center of the spine, inner and outer thighs, & hips. She also hardly touched on the chest muscles. Initially I only intended to stay for 60 minutes, but I actually asked her to do more on my legs inlcuding my inner and out thighs because I was having some issues with circulation. In addition to this, the accomodations were pretty drab considering the costs. I don't need a spa with lots of frills, but for $130 + tip I expect a more quality work. more

Clean and reliable 3/8/2007

I've had two massages here, and I was impressed both times. The rooms are clean, and the masseurs knew what they were doing - more than most other downtown locations. more

Excellent Facial 5/25/2006

I recently returned to Spring Thyme after having had a facial about two months ago and the second time around was just as good as the first. The first time I went I had a Deep Pore Facial and Nancy took her time getting to know my skin and my problem areas and gave me excellent tips on caring for my skin. She asked questions about what products I used so she could better help me and welcomed any questions I had. The facial was great both times and she did not push any of the products they sold but they felt so good and made my skin feel clean and not irritated that I will probably purchase some the next time I go. more

Amazing Services 5/20/2006

My sister and I decided to treat ourselves and try the newly opened Spa called Spring Thyme Spa near World Trade Center. I booked us for the 5 hour Ultimate Indulgence Spa Package which includes facial, body wrap, moisturizing treatment, a spa lunch and finally, an aromatherapy massage with reflexology. When we left we felt like we were walking on clouds. I wanted another hour of massage. The staff were very friendly, attentive and very professional. The facilities are new and clean. The location was so convenient right in the downtown area accessible to most subway trains. I highly recommend Spring Thyme Spa at the WTC. Pros: convenient, clean, variety of services more

FABULOUS! Like a Family 5/18/2006

I have been going to Spring Thyme (formerly Herbal World) for years now and have always had a great massages there. All massage therapists are great and friendly. Now that it has become a spa, I have tried the Comprehensive Slim Down package replacing lymphatic massage with holistic massage. It was a 2-hour bliss. The care that the staff took specially with me, was special and loving. The massage was so relaxing and soothing. In the past, I also have benefited from the therapists working on my knee operation. Very healing! Pros: New Look, Caring , Personal more

wall street treasure! 5/17/2006

I went to Srping Thyme on a whim after a collegue raved about her massage. I decided to try the deal they had with getting a hour massage and getting the facial 50% off. OH MY GOD!! The massage was amazing! Dan my therapist got all the kinks out of my body and i left feeling like a new person. I have had massages beofre, but nothing as good as this! The facial was also a plesant surprise. Casey was able to tell me everything i wanted to know about my skin and treated it accordingly. I left with my skin glowing and soft, and it lasted all week! She also gave me great product and makeup advice to help keep my skin clear. All in all an amazing spa tucked away in a very unlikely place. Go try it! Pros: Inexpensive, Great Therapists, Good Hours Cons: Can be noisy more

Ecstatic Massage Treatment 5/17/2006

I've always requested for a female massage therapist. However, this time there were none available so I tried a male. I was apprehensive but the male therapist greeted me with warm welcome and had asked me how I want my massage and where to focus. He was friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. Any reservations I had were completely nullified when he laid his hands on me. Gentle bliss, comfort, tranquility and satisfaction cannot begin to describe how I felt. My body was slowly melting and I felt like I am a jelly afloat on the table. Ron or Rod, i think brought me gently back to earth, and to my pleasure the massage was concluded with a facial/scalp massage and brief reiki. It took me awhile to gather my bearings and leave Spring Thyme. After dressing, I asked him if she does this to all other ladies. Excellent job. Pros: skilled therapists, homey type, personal & friendly more

Great Feeling and Healing 5/12/2006

The massage was wonderful. My massage therapist was very cordial and professional. I came to relax but really I wanted to be healed inside. The massage therapist worked on the tensive areas and the release of tension was great. It was a great feeling and healing experience. Spring Thyme makes me feel at home and I was accommodated even late at night. Thank you Spring Thyme. Pros: Hospitable, Friendly Staff, No Pressures more

excellent chinese medical care 2/20/2006

If anyone thinks they might have a serious health condition, I recommend checking with the owner of Spring thyme, Michelle Lamm, and her brilliant Chinese physician, Dr. Li, for verification. Dr. Li listens to the pulse, observes your tongue, and tells you what many western medical tests can't tell you. He's improved the health of many of my friends and saved the life of one friend who was going through chemo and developed an infection. The massages and herbs work wonders. The new spa on Wall Street offers waxing, facials, and an excellent herbal mask. This establishment is highly recommended, with three locations. Make your first appointment with the owner, Michelle, who will lead you in the right direction. Pros: improves health Cons: herbs are pricey more

Fantastic massage 10/6/2005

On a whim I stopped in for a massage, and it was fantastic. Most massages I've had are relaxing, but not hard enough at dealing with some of my chronic, sports related injuries. But, this was not the case here - amazing, affordable massage. Pros: great massage, inexpensive, friendly staff more

Cure for stress 7/3/2003

I had a GREAT experience at Spring Thyme! I went to the park slope location and it was soo cute. I was immediately greeted when I walked in and escorted to the room. I had a one hour swedish massage and today I feel great. They really know what they're doing. She worked out every knot in my back. Also, their prices are quite reasonable. I highly reccommend Spring Thyme. more
