After rushing my 85 yr old Father to the ER and they being very diligent contacted his family doctor; the good Dr. Troyan did not show up to my Father's ER ICU room for 22 hours! In that time the bacterial infection we found out he had moved to his entire body without any benefit of antibiotics to help him survive this infection. My Father died not quite 48 hours after arriving to this hospital. This one doctor may have been able to help my Father if he had visited my Father in the ER before his office visit that day. After all my Father had been in Spring Branch Medical Center since approximately 10:30pm Sunday night! My mom had two orthopedic surgeries at Spring Branch with excellent results. She was pleased with her nursing care, surgical experience and especially the surgeon Dr. Rosemary Buckle. When it came time for my procedure there was no doubt; Spring Branch Med Center was the place to go. I also had excellent care and was very well taken care of from the admission process to pre-op, surgery (also Dr. Buckle), to managing my pain, and the discharge process. My neighbor was having a hypertensive crisis and I thought she was having a stroke. I called ahead to Spring Branch, was told the ER was quiet and to come over right away. We arrived and were triaged immediately. She was seen by the nurse, brought to a room, vital signs, labs, and ekg were done quickly and professionally. Everything was carefully explained and my friend was made comfortable. The doctor came in soon after. She was given some meds, her pressure came down and she was soon ready to go home. She saw her family doctor the next morning and is on a program of diet, exercise and meds and is doing fine. Pros: great care more
