After going for years, I will never go back 12/5/2012

I had been going to Spa Roma for 3+ years. previous to that i had been looking for a stylist for years. I was very happy with my stylist at Spa Roma until this fall I had a double process color (all over color and foil highlights) done for which I paid $150.00 and left $20 tip. I waited 4 days to wash my hair and used an expensive color care shampoo. Within two washes most of the highlight color had washed out. I called and spoke to my stylist who had me come back in. She did another color process. I was not charged for the color but was charged $31 for a blow dry. I would have appreciated being told of this charge because i would have left wet considering how much money I already had in the failed color. I waited 4 days again to wash my hair with color care shampoo and again pretty much all color washed out within two washes. At this point I had $200+ in the endeavor. I called the salon and after the receptionist talked to a manager I was told that red/purple toned colors wash out within 3 weeks and tend to fade quickly. I was not told any of that to begin with or when I came in for the second color. She basically told me there wasn't anything they could do and that she was sorry. I complained some but knew it would do no good to give the receptionist a hard time since she was not the person actually making decisions. I received a voice mail a few days later saying that they had a few ideas of what they could do. I called back and was told the stylist had used a Demi-color which is semi-permanent so I could come back in so a permanent color could be used. I told the receptionist that I was very clear from the beginning about wanting permanent color as I never would have spent $170 on temporary color. I then asked if I would be charged if I came back in and she told me I would. I let her know that I was not interested in gambling with any more of my money b/c I already knew that they didn't stand behind their services. Not once during this process was I talked to by a manager or the owner. more

I had my first bikini wax done here! Amy does amazing work!! Needless to say, I was nervous and thought it would be embarassing and painful, but Amy put me right at ease. She did a great, fast job with minimal pain and discomfort, and she is a sweetheart. Well worth the money to get a professional environment and treatment! more

Looks nice, but service is not great 8/19/2005

Spa Roma is a nice looking place. It's pretty clean and classy looking. The prices are pretty steep, and what you get is not worth what you are paying for the services. An employee even joked with me during a massage, man I'd better be getting an awesome tip! Which made me want to give him no tip at all. more

Not very professional 8/15/2005

I have only been there once, but it didn't do much for me. I went there for a wax and when I made the appointment, the lady answering the phone could not answer any of my questions. But once I got there, they were prompt. And the price wasn't too bad. However, the lady that did the procedure, did not do a very professional job. She acted like she could care less about what she was doing and did not even do a good job. This wa my first was, she knew that, and still did not tell me what she was going to do. When I asked her questions, she would take a long time to answer and not answer very thoroughly. Mainly yes or no. I was dismayed at the poor job she did and would never pay that much for that again. But the place seemed nice and was clean. more

A nice place 8/7/2005

Spa Roma is a very nice place to spend the day. They offer a wide variety of services. I have enjoyed my visits there, and look forward to going again. The spa is very clean, and the staff are excellant. I would have to recommend the pedicure and manicure. They even offer gift certificates so that you can give a day of relaxing as a gift. more
