Grande-Salon: go to R.J. 11/14/2010

R.J. is amazing. I went to him based on a recommendation from a woman whose hair impressed me. Maui is a beautiful place, but it is not known for its hairdressers, food, or dentists. Therefore, it is exciting to find someone who actually understands how to cut and color hair in such a way that it lasts until the next trim. I told him what I wanted and he did it. I felt heard-and that is what a client is supposed to feel like, besides fabulous, after seeing a stylist. more

Kincha is very good. 8/28/2009

We liked Kincha. It is a small Asian restaurant at the Grand Wailea Resort. The food was delicious and presented in a beautiful way. The service was excellent. more

  • In Short
Voyaging into the main entrance of the resort can feel a bit like entering a theme park, and a map may be necessary to navigate through the 40-acre fantasy resort. Architecture with stunning white curvature is complemented by bronze statues and geological rock formations brought over from Mount Fuji. Several pools include man-made waterfalls, rope swings and rapids. An ideal setting for a romantic getaway or honeymoon, the resort is also a fine spot for families. A variety of spacious rooms are blessed with emerald ocean views. The poshest of accommodations include massive suites with views of Haleakala and the outer islands Molokai and Lanai. An endless array of activities can be booked through the resort, including kayaking, scuba, golf and tennis. On-site entertainment includes shopping, a spa, an extensive art collection and more than ten restaurants, bars and a nightclub.
