Locally produced honey available seasonally starting in around August until the supply runs out. If I remember correctly, the price in 2004 was $9/quart, with comb honey a little higher.
This honey is produced by a gentleman who is a subsistence farmer; he produces all that he needs himself--milks the cow for milk & cheese, chickens for eggs & meat, produce from the garden, etc. He raises wheat to grind to make bread.
He is also an author: check out the book, "A Very Small Farm" by William Winchester if you're interested in reading his story.
