I was referred to them by Maytag for problems I was experiencing with my washer. I only wish I had read the reviews before I called them. They are the biggest crooks I have ever met! Do not use them under any circumstances!
My washing machine was not draining. They told me I needed a new pump which was going to cost me $285.00. I had them go ahead and replace the pump. After replacing the part, they ran it through a cycle and declared it repaired. Within 2 days, the washing machine was again not draining and displaying the same error code. I called STAR and told them the washer was having the same problem. They sent the repairman back out, who spend 5 minutes here and told my husband the hose was twisted. Bobby (the owner) called me in the afternoon and told me I had obviously twisted the hose (like I spend my time moving the washer out from the wall, twisting the hose and calling repairman!). He said we owed him for an additional service call, even through the machine was experiencing the same problem and obviously had not been correctly diagnosed the first time. After they left the washer again stopped draining and showed the same error code. When I called them again, Bobby refused to send anyone out even through we were still within the 30 day warranty period. I had to call a different appliance repair and pay them a service fee to diagnose the washer as needing a new control panel. The pump was never the problem!!
In addition to not standing behind their work, I have never experienced such rudeness. Bobby yelled at me over the phone and was extremely rude and offensive.
Listen to all the reviews, do not use these people!!!
