I hadTerrible lower back pain. After around 2 weeks of decompression therapy I was feeling a lot better by the end of the treatment I was feeling great, I still have to go to maintenance once every 6 weeks but what a difference. more

I'm in my 20's and have a bulging disc in my lower back. I didn't want to have surgery so I thought the decompression therapy would be my best bet. I worked with Dr. Sorell and he seems nice enough, but after buying into his promises, I'm convinced the whole thing is dangerous, and possibly a scam. After looking at my MRI scans, he told me he was 90% sure it would relieve all of my pain and it would be virtually painless. The first 2 times I went in, it hurt really bad, but I figured maybe that was just my back getting used to it. After the 3rd time I went in, I could barely walk getting off the machine and I almost pulled over on the way home because of the pain. I thought something might be seriously wrong, but luckily after a few weeks my pain level has returned to where it was before I started. What did those 3 sessions and immense pain cost me? Over $1000! If it was a little more I'd consider hiring a lawyer but I'm not sure it would be worth it. My advice is to avoid this place at all costs. Even his manual adjustments seemed harsh and didn't provide any relief. more

I have seen him many times and he always makes me feel great. One time I dont think he got everything and called him the next day. He got me right back in and cracked the last bit that was missed for no charge. That only happened that one time out of many. Very easy to talk to and gets to know you and your family. more

When severe back pain caused me to miss days at work I knew it was time to schedule an appointment. Since I had just moved to Manhattan I didn't know any good chiropractors. SO, I called the first ad I found in the yellow pages. After seven visits and a couple hundred dollars my back pain was only lessoned...not erased. I would expect that that amount of visits would heal my back. I do have to say that the doctors at Sorell-Iverson are very friendly and care for their patients. I just think that too many visits were needed before I noticed a difference in the pain. more
