Thanks Guys 5/19/2006

Thanks to reviewers I avoided the parking lot "scam". I actually found a legal space on Webster east of the theater and walked the block or so down. I had a gift card so I did not have to pay for the film ,which is way cool. The screen was good as was the sound and they have big name first run films here. I'm glad I have not had the problems that some others have had. The theater does not have much in the way of style,class or stunning architecture that's for sure but I did enjoy my experience here overall. more

Seems okay to me 4/13/2006

I've only been here a few times, but have never had any problem with it. Yes, the tickets are expensive, but that's true of every movie theatre these days, especially in a big city. The selection of movies is decent, and the location is convenient. It's basically just your average multiplex- nothing more, nothing less. more

I have not been back to Webster Place Theaters 3/17/2006

I thought I was the only person who hated the Webster Place Theaters along the congested Clybourn Corridor, but I guess not. I was astounded when I asked for a ticket for a particular showtime, but was sold a ticket for the next show with no mention that my requested show was sold out. This kind of inexcusable poor service should not be rewarded with return business, and I have not been back to this theater. There are plenty of newer and better theaters around to see a movie. more

Needs updating 1/16/2006

I have more than a couple of gripes about the Webster Place theater. It's irritating that they charge you for parking, when ticket prices are already high. Plus, the parking is not directly connected to the theatre so you have to walk outside in the winter and wait in line for tickets outside. Then you have to get in a line with everyone who just came out of the showing to get your parking validated and then wait again to get out of the garage. I have found the ticket sellers to be pretty slow here on occasion. The theatre itself is kind of outdated for the area. It wasn't that clean and the seats were not too comfortable. They do have a neat interactive floor game in the lobby. more

Webster Place 9/29/2005

Webster Place is in desperate need of renovation. The theatre location is convenient for Lincoln Park residents. They offer the newest movies and have a lot of screens. On the downside, the theatre is rather old and feels like it never gets the attention it should. The tickets are typical of Chicago movie theatres. The value just isn't there. The screens are small, the seats are often broken, and the floor is often sticky. I typically look at other theatres in the area first, but if they don't show the movie I want to see, I will go to Webster Place. more

Terrible Theater 7/24/2005

I've been here once and was so disgusted I know i will never ever go back here again. The theater was jam-packed and parking was a pain to find. Tickets were so expensive and then the concessions were even more expensive! And then once I actually got inside the theater, it smelled SO bad and it was soo hard to find seats. The crowd was loud and the staff was really not doing anything about that. The theater was really dirty and smelly and I am for sure never going back here to sit through a movie in this overpriced, dirty theater more
