So much to offer 9/17/2005

I never thought I would use the library as much as I do since becoming a parent. My kids have spent many Wed. at storytime over the last couple of years (though it's not as good since Carol left) The summer program offers different weekly programs for different ages. The monthly Saturday programs with a craft has also been enjoyed by us. We find it helpful to pick up a calender at the beginning of the month, because they really do have lots of options. We recently have found they even rent out videos. You can use the service online at home and request/hold books and videos to make it really easy to find your favorites. My kids also enjoy using the computer and playing the kids games they offer on the computer. The summer reading program was a great success in our house as was the weekly prizes they offer. It is not the same old library that I grew up with. more

Convenient and enriching 8/11/2005

Convenient and enriching . The Sonoma County Library has something for everyone. There are the different sections, such as children's library, fictions, non fiction, periodicals, and reference. The reference librarians are always ready to help. They have an online catalog of their books, where you can get many services. You can search for a book, have a book held for you, pay your fines. In the children's library they have puppet shows, plays, and pajama storytimes. They also have a summer reading program for the kids. more
