Nice modern building on Park Ave - it reminds me of the commercial spaces in Oslo. The cafe is nice (but it makes the whole entry smell like cabbage soup). The Swedish meatballs are amazing, and it feels like you're actually at a cafe in the Nordic region. The HIGHLIGHT is the excellent shop. They have lots of housewares, sweets, books, gifts - many things I ONLY see in Scandinavia and with prices I'd never see there. Excellent values, particularly the midsummer and after Christmas sales. Their Christmas Shoppe on the 3rd floor in December is well worth visiting. more

No permanent collection 2/15/2003

No permanent collection to speak of, but we saw a exhibit on Jewish Norwegians that was good, but consisted mostly of posters of information I could've read in a book. The cafe downstairs is what you come here for though. And as long as you're there for a the food, why not learn something about the people? Pros: Cafe more
