** Improving ** 7/1/2008

Well I was at Smiles Entertainment in Milford last week and It still seems dark and dirty, but the arcade machines are working better and they are finally getting some newer machines. It seems like they finally hired some people that know how to keep the machines running, I swear that some of them are old faces from the past there. If so, good for them because that place was immaculate in the last 80s 90s. I will start going back there because I actually had fun last time. more

The absolute worst. 3/15/2006

I remember visiting Smiles years ago when it was still Milford Amusement Center. Things have REALLY gone downhill since then. Most frequent visitors are between the ages of 13 and 17 and seem to be more interested in kissing and smoking than in playing arcade games. This may be because most of the arcade games, particularly those that dispense tickets, are permanently out of order. The technicians are extremely difficult to locate, and if you do manage to find one, their way to deal with whatever problem you may have is to hand you a free token and send you on your way. The prizes in the redemption center are cheap, and most are unattainable, as they chronically remove and/or tamper with any machine that will dispense more than ten tickets at a time. If you're looking for old-fashioned arcade fun, you won't find it here. more

I remember going to smiles as a teenager and thinking it was run down then. After returning with a friends child I think it is still run down. The games look ready to fail at any minute and the crowd is mainly of older teenagers. Don't think I will be sending my child here. more

Smiles Arcade 8/22/2005

Well I visited Smile Entertainment Center with my 8 year old son today. Smiles used to be a favorite of his, but we haven't been there is a few years, it was becoming very run down. It is a little biit better now. The games seemed to give out a reasonable amount of tickets, and there weren't many games which were not working. My son was able to get some pretty good prizes, but we spent $40 on tokens, so it took quite a bit of tokens to get them. They did have a pretty good selection of prizes today, and since it was a Monday late afternoon they weren't very crowded. All in all I would say Smiles has improved a bit over the past few years, could still use more work though. more

Arcade, small rides 8/16/2005

Smiles is noisy. If you take your child there, be prepared for that. Personally I think it's also quite sketchy so I tended to stop going there once I left High school (and then I only went because of my friends). They have all sorts of arcade machines and pool tables on the first floor and downstairs are the little machines that you play to win tickets and then trade in for prizes. They also have a few permanant carnival rides in the back. Fun for the kids, but still super sketchy. more
