Smile Linn Dental

I just joined Smilein Dental about 3 months ago, I went in for a routine cleaning and exam. I had a tooth ache which is what forced me to go see the dentist. Going to the dentist has not been exactly my favorite thing to do. I had many bad experiences in the past enough to make me avoid going to the dentist. Dr. Ibsies eased me back into it, he suggested that I use laughing gas for my first treatment and I am proud to say I had a really pleasant experience, he did two fillings at once last friday and they feel great. He has such a light touch that I have never ever had before. I almost never ever review anyone, but I felt almost obligated to do so. Thank you so much. more

Great Dentist especially if you live in West Linn or Lake Oswego. Latest equipment. Friendly staff. TV's mounted to the ceiling to watch movies (cool). Very kid friendly, in fact my 2.5 year old was welcome to sit and hang out while I was being seen for dental work. Convenient location, too. Would definitely recommend. more

Best Dentist I have Ever Seen. Dr. Ibsies (and his staff) are the best. They are professional, courteous, and use the utmost care in every aspect of their service. Dr. Ibsies has been my families' dentist for 5 years, and takes excellent care of all of us, including our 4 years old which won't even let me look in his mouth. On one occasion, one of our children was injured while at daycare, and Dr. Ibsies when out of his way to meet us at the hospital and check the condition of his teeth. We were in awe of his concern and care. Over the years I have referred dozens of friends and family to him, and received nothing but thanks in return, as everyone has been extremely pleased with the team and highest degree of dental care more

The Most Caring Dentist I know. I met this young professional through Rotary and shared with him that I had a tooth ache and my jaw hurt. He quickly fit me in and did an x ray. The next thing I knew I was in the oral surgeon's chair. Had it not been for his willing to fit me in during a busy day and refer me to an oral surgeon, I might have lost teeth and as it was was losing some jaw bone. This guy is fantastic and I would recommend him for everyone (kids, grown ups, easy or even tough dental conditions). You would be pleased not only to have him as your dentist but also as a friend. more

Amazing. I had an overbite as a child and had a lot of dental work done growing up. Dr. Ibsies is by far the most gentle and honest Dentist I have ever had. He did fillings for me and now I can smile big in every picture... Thank you for the amazing work Dr. Ibsies and the best part of this office they are so flexible with peoples schedules, the front office ladies are always smiling and happy to see you. I always complained that my teeth didn't look straight, it has always been a dream of mine to have perfect teeth, but I did not want to wear braces for 2 years +. Until I came to see Dr. Ibsies he told me about 6 month smiles (braces for only 6 months) . So I went for it and to my joy my teeth look absolutely fabulous now...I can smile while feeling confident. Dr. Ibsies and his staff were so great. I highly recommend this office, they are fast , efficient and super nice. I highly recommend this dental office. Dr Ibsies did a crown and fillings on my teeth. I must say it was a pleasant experience and I have had NO pain at all!! The whole office is always happy, helpful, and extremely informative. At my first visit I learned more about my teeth in that 1 1/2 hour than I ever have in my life. The fees are comparable to all other dental offices in the area (I checked) and they went over my dental insurance with me. GREAT OFFICE and Excellent Care. more

I spent thousands of dollars for dental work (I paid cash since I am not insured) I had two crowns and some fillings done. Immediately after the dental work there was a small amount of discomfort which I attributed to my mouth getting used to the crowns and a new sensitivity to hot and cold temperatures which I also attributed to the crowns. However this did not turn out to be the cause of my discomfort. As fate would have it, I was on holiday this July 7th through the 11th, 2011 in Thailand. While en-route on the airplane the pain started become rather unbearable in my new lower crown. At this point I realized there was something more going on with the crown than just sensitivity to temperature. I went to a dentist in Thailand the same day I arrived for an examination. The examination revealed that the root of the tooth had become infected and that I would require a root canal. Since the pain was becoming more and more severe, I was able to schedule an appointment on the Sunday July 10th at 4:30pm. I attempted to enjoy my holiday by taking ibuprofen to subdue the pain. However, by Saturday night the pain became so unbearable I could not do much of anything. When I awoke Sunday morning the pain was now spreading into my lower jaw and neck. At this time I believed the tooth had become abscessed. Upon arriving at the Dentist that Sunday afternoon, the Dentist confirmed my suspicion of an abscessed tooth. He then explained my available options. The first being to save the tooth, which would require multiple visits and a course of antibiotics, or to pull the tooth and take a course of antibiotics. Since I am working in China with limited access to dental facilities (one of the reasons I had the dental work completed in the US), and the tooth being the most rearward tooth, my only real option was to have the tooth extracted. Fortunately because it was the most rearward tooth on my right hand side, the extraction has not had any real effect on my being able to chew or eat normally. I feel rather disappointed as I wasted a large amount of money to get Dental work done in the US in the hopes that the quality dental work would eliminate complications. I am now out the thousands of dollars I spent from my own pocket, and I am now missing a tooth, that had been crowned for less than 6 months. When confronted about these issues with my dental work, Dr. Ibsies only comment was sorry, not my problem after you left my office and went to the dentist in Thailand. He did not believe nor was he willing to even acknowledge that the dental work completed by himself may have had something to do with the complications I experienced. more
