Slover Charlene

Very presumptious of ""The good parent"" to state any bad reviews are from people with mental problems, How would this person know? In my case Slover was very lazy, did not look at any documentation, had very sloppy records regarding payment, and it appears her decision was based on gut feeling and which party was the better actor. The children ended back with us after social services got calls, because the master Ms. Charleen Slover had put the kids with the parent who tried to kill themself and the child and was beating up a new wife and her kids, so don't tell me or anyone on here how anyone who she made a decision against has problems. She did an absolutly crappy job and now me and my spouse get to clean up the mess she created with her crap work and decision. How dare you. more

Charlene Slover was hired as a Child and Family Investigator during my very messy divorce. She made my children feel very comfortable talking about the issues that brought us to her. She is not all about the money, as one reviewer said. She allowed my child to stay 30 extra minutes because he wanted to keep talking. My ex is very well spoken and a master manipulator. Charlene is a pro, she saw right through his lies. While Charlene Slover doesn't have a magical wand that can fix a dysfunctional parent, she did make things alot better for two of the sweetest boys ever. She isn't there to make both of the parents happy, she is there to protect and do what is best for the kids. The negative reviews are obviously from people who she found to be physically/emotionally abusive, or other issues against. Highly recommended. more

People, listen up. Citizens have recourse. This woman is dangerous and destructive to the foundations of our community because she continues to enforce horrible judgement and lasting damage upon the lives of our children. She is motivated by greed and clouded by her own personal psychologically disturbing issues. Charlene follows the money 100% of the time. She doesn't care about the reality of the situation for the children, she just rules in favor of the parent that seems most likely to have the money to pay her to do another CFI in the future or most likely to tell their friends with money to hire her to do their CFI. If you can't pay, she is ruthless and stops at nothing to take your life apart. She can't practice psychology treatment with patients because she is entirely incompetent as a therapist - not to mention a terrible judge of personal motives and character. Quite frankly, she is a terribly mentally disturbed individual and brings her own personal issues to bear in every custody case she handles. She gave up taking patients because she cannot produce positive results in clients through counseling due to her personal problems with countertransference. She bragged in one meeting with a party to one of her CFI investigations that she has an exclusive relationship with Judge Strauss in Adams County and the Judge ONLY uses her for all court cases where she can appoint a CFI. The two of them essentially have an extortion game going where you are forced to use her regardless of your alleged rights to be involved in the selection process for a CFI in your case. This woman gets caught up in the glitter of life. If one parent buys lots of toys, fun clothes and skates for the child in question, whereas the other parent is more down to earth and practical: Charlene Slover will side with the dressings and glitter parent. If this parent is unstable, never held a real job, Charlene does not care. She will give the child to this parent. Charlene left my child with a suicidal man, stating that his past behavior of abuse were irrevelent. Do not use a CFI at all if you can help it! I would take your child and run, hide, change your names before hiring Charlene Slover. I have to admit, when Charlene was appointed as the CFI, I made the mistake or reading these reviews and expecting the worst. She presented herself as a professional through and through and made a very fair recommendation. Obviously, the reviews below are from individuals who she did not support in their divorce or from individuals who may have very serious emotional and/or parental issues. I found that Charlene was able to see through the act being presented and actually looked at the best interest of the child, not the spouse trying to destroy another individual. We hired Charlene, (actually we had no choice in the matter, the attorneys selected her and we had to pay). She wrote an inaccurate, incomplete report leaving out all important information that would lead to the best interest of the child. She sided with the mother early on in the meetings and it was all over from that point on. She did not return our phone calls or acknowledge she received our faxes. Not to mention she left out one of the key witness statements because it would not have benefited her recommendations. Her recommendations will only hurt the child in this case and not by any means help her. She definitely doesn't look out for the best interest of the child in any way, shape or form. This woman is not professional in any way, takes forever to write a report, bills you large amounts of money but you have no clue what she's even done and when she FINALLY writes a report she takes the easy road and writes a report based on nonsense questions like what's your favorite ice cream and what's your favorite toy on the playground. Then draw a picture and now play in a little 5x6 area. Then time is up. Let's not actually ask or listen or know what the children are experiencing, let's not actually do my job. Cuz guess what, I'm so arrogant that the courts go along with what I recommend all the time so you're life and relationship is in my hands and I'll not do my job or return a phone call or protect your kids in anyway....because to me it's about the money and writing a report at some point when I get around to it that has nothing to do with any ""real"" facts, just what I felt like writing that day cuz I'm Charlene Slover and I'm bi-polar too. I went to school to make up stories as I go send them to the court and charge whatever I need to to pay for whatever I bought that month for my personal life. more

I use to believe in justice. I actually even trusted it. That was until the father of my child came storming into my life. I have watched this idiot lie, steal and break law after law, to only be fined by the courts and protected by his family and his mentally inept wife. He never took his child seriously until he met his now wife that is more of a heel than he is (and I am saying that takes a lot to accomplish). He told me once, years ago that he made a pack with the devil, his soul for protection in this world. I believe that a person is truly capable of selling their soul. The joke was on the devil though, as he has no soul. He also told me once that he could make my daughter have a 'baby umm' by playing with her nipples. He thinks that a child should be introduced in that world by their parents. He is sick. Pros: She is capable of making a person comfortable and trusting. Aside from the fact that she will ignore evidence presented because ""she just KNOWS"" who is telling the truth from her interviews, watch your wallet if you still proceed in hiring her. Cons: She is a liar more

If you are like me and like a good con, then this woman is the BEST CFI any man can have in a custody case. I have beaten my ex, stalked her, tapped her email, put a tracker on her car, told horrible stories about her. Threatened her with physical bodily harm and have terrorized her for years. more

I would never recommend this woman to make a decision for my shoes, let alone a child. This woman favors domestic violence perps, and step parents who have every intention of keeping the child away from the biological mother. Charlene overlooks abundence of evidence of violence, emotional, mental abuse all in her cause of 'the least amount of work for the most pay'. She fails to write comprehensive reports, and fails to act in the best interests of children, leaving them with abuser's. more

I would not recommend Slover. We had a lot of he said she said, but I don't think she put a lot of common sense in to her recommendations. Pros: She was very easy to talk with, made you feel comfortable. Cons: Some of her recommendations didn't make any sense. Trying to fax something to her was a nightmare. I don't think she has a seperate fax line. more

we believed that this would be the best route to protect 3 inocent children from the child abuse their mother inflicted on them, so when my sons ex-wife's lawyer PICKED this women I told him she HAD to be unbias and fair because she was to look out for the welfare of the children, how do you determine if there was child abuse if you never speak to the child????The mother deserted, willingly 3 children the youngest only 10months old, didnt even have ANY contact with the children for well over a year (she needed to find herself) but now shes back and allowed MORE rights than the father, who charlene found to be unnecessarily angry and alienated the children, Since when is it allowed to bash a child in the face until her nose bleeds, oh and the best part, everyone needs counseling except the missing, child beating mother.....donot trust or waste your money on this so called CHILD advocate Pros: nice office must make alot of $$$$ Cons: should be removed more

My ex and I recently retained Dr. Slover as a court investigator because of child visitation issues I raised. She interviewed us, our children, and our now spouces. The cost of her services far exceeded her initial stated cost. When she finally submitted her report to the courts, it contained nothing from our children or our spouces, or the supporting material I submitted. The report was completely bias in favor of my ex. The report quickly showed her data from the interviews did not support her recommendations. I showed her report to several other court approved investigators and counselors and they all agreed the report was bias, data did not support recommendations, and the whole investigation was not conducted professionally. I thank God I had a judge that listened and threw her report out the window. If you have a choice, avoid using Slover at all costs. more

Charlene was hired by myself and my ex-husband, even tho there was proof that my ex-spouse was abusive with me during my pregnancy and after she still reccomended it was in our childs ""best interest"" to co-parent our child. Fast foward to my present situation, my child has been sexually assaulted on the fathers time and father is behind in child support along with the other complaints I have all because CHARLENE is an expert. more

WE employed Charlene Slover and Glen Crow as our DRDM for our daughter after our divorce. They were put in place to solve conflicts and therfore benefit our daughter.
