Sleep Inn

I was anticipating the usual budget motel in a so/so location, but I was pleasantly surprised. The motel was located in a nice, new retail/restaurant area. The front desk staff was very friendly and competent. They called my room after check-in to ask if everything was to our liking and if we needed anything. The room was clean, and everything was in excellent condition. An in-room safe was provided. The swimming pool and hot tub were well-maintained. I whole-heartedly recommend this motel to others. It was perfect. more

Not sure what the other reviewer is talking about! Stayed at this hotel and was actually quite impressed. The staff is pleasant, breakfast is more than adequate, beds are comfortable, guest laundry available, indoor pool is crystal clear and hotel is located moments from Cedar Point and Sandusky mall. The only gripe I have (and it is a minor one) is that they do not have pool towels in the pool room. I enjoyed my stay!! more

My family come to Sandusky every year. We have stayed at a few different motels in the area, but our stay at Sleep in was the best yet. The staff was really friendly and informative about local attractions. We will stay again in the furture. more

We just returned from a week in Sandusky, Ohio. We stayed at this Sleep Inn and found it to be a nice place to stay. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The location is great. Walmart is across the street and Rt.2 is a stones throw away. Rt. 2 takes you into Port Clinton/Marblehead/Ferries, etc. Trip advice: If you haven't been to the northern tip of Ohio bring a light weight jacket with you...yes even in July (the month we visited). The weather & temperature are awesome, but the evening breeze can be a little cool. Coming from the heat and humidity in Tennessee, this place was great!! more

"The staff was friendly and helpful from the desk attendant to the cleaning staff and the lady in charge of the breakfast. They all spoke English (!) and were very nice. The breakfast choices were great. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were wonderful. Could have been a little bit cleaner, some spots on the carpet. Was quiet and nice. I recommend it. " more

"Stayed here for one night during a cedar point visit. Facility was very clean and staff was very accommodating. Due to bad reviews, we asked to see the room before actually paying. They graciously gave us a key and we checked out the facility. The pool/hot tub area was very nice and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. (yes I mean 1:00 a.m.) The grandkids loved it. The breakfast was very nice with fresh made waffles, fruit, hardboiled eggs, toast, donuts, etc. It was more than adequate to get us on our way. The only criticism I have is that I wish the beds were queen-sized instead of full size in a regular room. Room size was adequate. Sometimes I think that bad reviews are placed by competing hotels. I would recommend this hotel to any member of my family or friends.. " more

We enjoyed everything about our stay. The hotel is convenient to the highway yet only a few minutes from Cedar Point. The housekeeping staff was awesome. The room was clean and tidy. My daughter loved the pool!. The hot tub was not working properly when we first got there due to a storm the previous night, but upon notification the hotel staff had it up and running within minutes. We will stay there again without a doubt. more

Clean rooms are my first priority and I was quite satisfied with the Sleep Inn Sandusky. The beds were comfortable. The free breakfast was great. Hotel staff was very efficient and helpful. Would definitely stay there again more
