i've recently read that there is serious consideration of closing this landmark to build a new subdivision, despite having good business 6 months out of the year. this would be a huge loss for not only belleville, but to the midwest where great affordable and novel entertainment is rare. well, not that rare, but in a place where applebees are more becoming more prevalent than mom & pop pie shops, it would be very sad to see this landmark go.
