Great value and location 8/20/2005

Ever try finding a hotel in Manhattan for a reasonable price where you can park your car without paying more for parking than the room. Well this place is great. If you stay the night (approx $120+ midweek) the over night parking is only $10. It is located about 4 blocks west of Times Square. It has a pool on the 9th floor with great views of the city. The rooms facing East have a great view of the city. Highly recommended. Not luxurious but a nice to play to stay while on a budget. more

Not smooth sailing... 8/19/2005

We didn't actually STAY at the Skyline Hotel. We had made reservations through the website, but when we arrived at the hotel, they had lost our reservation. Further, the hotel was booked solid! Fortunately, I had my printout of the reservation, so they arranged to put us in another hotel at the same rate. The staff was very nice and the hotel was clean and nicely decorated (what we saw of it). However, this hotel is NOT in the best of areas (Hell's Kitchen) and it is pretty far away from everything. Even the nearest subway stop is several blocks away, and it doesn't appear to be a very safe walk in the dark. more

every one knows New York has expensive accomodation. it is the same storry around the world, but if you dont need fancy shmancy atmosphere and you dont care to stay in hotel that does not cary name as hilton or hayat. this is the place for you. it locate on 10 ave and therefore its alittle cheaper. it has a waking distuns from the times square and the enterprise navy musseum. relatevly cheap yet incluiding all nesseccery aminities. clean cheap and nice, go for it more
