GREAT VET! 4/9/2012

I have been taking my dogs here for over 6 years. The staff is friendly and the doctors are warm, caring and understanding. Recently my boy beagle, Augie, went missing for 9 days and when i found him i wanted him checked out. I was low on funds but when Dr Sullivan found out what had happened he agreed to let me bring little Augie in and give them a post dated check. I love this place and would not take my dogs to any other vet. Pros: null Cons: null more

Six Forks Animal Hospital is a fine vet. It's this man that does not care about your animal. It is this man who gives them a bad name. The original vet (male) and the newest vet (female) are fine people. My dog had a bad experience after being seen by this man. I refused to let him treat my dog again. My father had several bad experiences with this man. He was the last vet to see my dad's dog and his little baby died last night. Stay away from and keep your pets away from this man. more

I love my vet 11/19/2009

I have been seeing Dr. Price since 1990 when she was still making house calls. She was Missy Precious (Lhasa Apso 1987-2003), Annie Fannie (Cocker Spaniel 1993-2009) and now Sweet Pea and Samantha (Lhasa Apso's sisters 2009-present). Even today she still shows sencere love and caring for my girls unlike some other offices i've been in where the $$ is all they cared about not my babies. We just recently had my new babies spayed and the scaring will be minimal. She did an outstanding job. Anyone there can tell you i'm a little overprotective of my girls and a worry wart but they all just deal and give me warm and fuzzies. Even though this office isn't remotely close to where i live i followed Dr. Price and will always be a satisfied customer. Oh yea let me not forget the the rest of the crew everyone there has been courtious and thoughful. I recommend this establishment highly Pros: all doctors there are great Cons: Kinda far from Johnston county more

Always pleased 4/24/2008

After having recently relocated to the area and having had terrible experiences with boarding my pets at Petsmart, we decided to try Six Forks because they would actually read my previous vets notes and faxes and board my dog and renew his "almost expired" vaccine at the same time.(Almost is not expired-PetSmart over booked and was wiggling out-on my honeymoon weekend) \r The vet care is great, compassionate and experienced, the staff from office to doctors are caring and personable. The rates are comparable, in some instances more affordable. We take our family of a dog and two cats here and are very satisfied, three years, several injuries, and surguries behind us! more

Blind Dog 4/12/2006

I didn't realize how bad this vet was because I had only been by once to have routine shots. I realized just how terrible of a vet Six Forks is when I took my dog into have his eyes checked and the Vet didn't seem to know what he was doing. He did a few tests and settled on the problem being Conjunctivis (PInk Eye) and gave me some ointment. A few days later I called to see when I should see an improvement and was told 3-5 days but to bring him in if there was no improvement. So on day 5 a Saturday, I took my dog by and they wouldn't see me because tI didn't have an appointment! After I had been told on Friday to come by tomorrow if his eyes are still not better. So Monday I go to a different vet, turns out the Vet at Six Forks had forgotten to do a crucial pressure test and an infection in my dogs eyes had rapidly turned to Glaucoma and he is blind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! An earlier diagnosis would have been able to prevent my 2 year old dog from going blind with a quick treatment to reduce more

Yuck 11/4/2005

I though (mistakingly thank god) that my dog had swallowed a large wall nail. I took him here because it was the closest vet, I called ahead of time and set an appoitment for a few minutes later. We sat in a waiting room, alone, for over a half an hour, while (I presumed) my dog was dying. I am certain that had he actually swallowed a nail, he would have died at this vet. HORRIBLE. more

Good care for a sick puppy! 11/3/2005

We recently were in the awkward position of having to use a veternarian after hours for a a sick puppy. Since our regular clinic was closed, we took our 'grandpuppy' to the Six Forks Animal Hospital which is open 24 hours per day. We found the place to be very helpful. I must admit though that I thought I was going to have a heart attack when received the bill. It was exorbidantly over -priced - but at 3:00 in the morning, what is someone to do? more

Something was off here 9/6/2005

Our dog was very sick, and it seemed as thou what they where giving him was making him worse, well we told the doctor and he didnt lisent seemed very unhappy that we would say anything about not likeing what he was giving the dog, The place is in a good location and boaring was good but the doctors there arent that nice nor the people answer the phones, just not happy with them better luck to you if you go there! more
