Great place to go all year round Pros: So much to do Cons: Too busy + going bankrupt

The park could be kept up alittle bit better, than it is.

LOVE IT! 7/27/2009

Do not go to Six Flags unless you don't care about how much money you will spend! 10/20/2008

I do not recommend going to this Six Flags, especially during Fright Fest. We went at the beginning of the summer and it was great, absolutely no lines in any of the rides, and we closed down the park. We went last weekend and it was awful. Every single ride was at least an hour to an hour and a half wait in line, half of the rides cost extra money, almost all of the ""haunted"" events cost extra money, some of the places to eat were not open, and the ones that were open were ridiculously slow. We ate at the Mooselodge, and the line was out the door, they had 3 registers, but only one employee working one, she was older and extremely unaffected by how many people were in line waiting. We probably waited in line just to order our food for about 45 minutes. The food was extremely expensive, it was $10.99 for a chicken sandwich and fries, and no drink was included. The employees were not friendly or helpfull, I noticed that none of them seemed to hurry in any way, and at times, they seemed to chit chat betweeen each other instead of doing their job. All in all, it really sucked! We will never go back for Fright Fest! Pros: Rides are fun. Cons: Way too expensive, unfriendly and lazy staff, way too packed, ""fright fest"" was a joke. more

Great for coaster lovers! 6/26/2008

Six Flags St. Louis is an amazing theme park with awesome rides for pepole who love roller coasters like i do. There are many reviews on here saying how its ""expensive"" but trust me, there are good ways to save.\r \r 1. Even if you plan to go even more than 1 time, BUY A SEASON PASS \r = You don't have to wait in line to buy tickets\r = After one day's ticket it only costs $40 to upgrade\r = It pays for itself in less that two visits.\r = With every thing you purchase at the parks you automatically get 15% off. \r = Buy season parking it will be well worth it.\r = Your season pass comes with $300 worth of coupons. \r = Your pass is valuable at any park that has the Six Flags name.\r = Plus you get much much more... \r = Buy a 2008 cup and the first day you buy it you get unlimited free refills, and then after you get 99c refills Pros: Sweet Rides Cons: Can be very crowded more

not for value-seeking families 4/26/2006

My husband and I took my sister and her kids when they were visiting from MI. While my 16-yr-old niece is a coaster NUT and can go all day, my 13-yr-old nephew has a relatively weak stomach and can only go on certain kinds of coasters, and that only every 30-45 minutes. While waiting for stomach to settle, looked for other things to do, but most non-coasters cost more. No info on website (that I could find) about what rides are NOT included in admission price, and there are a LOT. Had a hard time keeping nephew entertained. And because they're now searching bags when you enter, you really can't take in food, so you're forced to pay outrageious food prices: $3.25 water, $5.99 ""large"" soda (looks like a medium elsewhere) + $2 refills, etc. And no straw! Disney World is a better value! Pros: great for coaster nut, short lines in spring Cons: too expensive more

Bring MONEY!!! 8/15/2005

Very expensive! At least half the rides cost extra money, the food is expensive, and a bottle of water is $3!!! Take the $400 you will spend, and spend a weekend somewhere else! Pros: kids like it Cons: expensive more

Good Family Fun 8/25/2004

You get to use both parks (rides and waterpark) for one price. Food is very expensive, if you are looking for a way to save, pack a cooler and blanket for lunch and take a break from the park. Food can not be brought in except for medical conditions, bags are searched. Pros: can use both parks more

bring a lot of $! 6/2/2003

You have pay for almost every thing if you don't have a season pass or cupons for stuff. You have to pay for parking, to get in, food, and some rides. If you know you are going to go more then once you should definetly buy a season pass it will save you alot more. You can always find a 10 or 12 dollar off cupon though. when you get into the park and you really want to go to one ride go to it first so the lines are not so long. Pros: Great Rides, Fun for the family Cons: very crowded, very expensive more

Yuck!! 11/18/2002

ok once in awhile 10/4/2002

well, its expensive. if you buy a season pass its a better deal. that way if you go more than once its worth it. also, it costs to park. the food inside is expensive, even the McDonalds. So last time, we brought a cooler and had a picnic in the shade in the parking lot. Its always HOT. the lines are really long for some things; like the water park. not for the rides but just to get IN the water park. Seriously. and it moves pretty slow. then u get inside and wait in lines again. u probably will have to rent a locker and a tube. more $$$. fright fest is i guess cool to kids. we went once. we have some cool rollercoasters. Pros: fun Cons: expensive, long lines, HOT more

Fun Amusement Park. 8/20/2002

Six Flags is fun for the whole family. Stay for the day, enjoy the rides. more

Fun but crowded 8/19/2002

Six Flags St. Louis is a nice park. Recommend you get there in line before it opens and hit Scooby Doo and Mr. Freeze first thing so you don't have to wait an hour or more to get on them. Bring Sunscreen. Also, the park has in and out privs, so bring your own lunch, snacks, etc and eat at your car. You can also pay 4.00 extra and get a closer parking spot. Some of the ride entrances are somewhat hidden (Mine Car, Thunder River, etc) if you don't pay attention. Be sure to look very closely at the map you are given when you come in. Keep in mind that your ticket to get in doesn't cover some of the items (go-carts, several jumping things). They are extra. Pros: rides, parking Cons: crowded, expensive sodas and w more

FILLED WITH THRILLS 7/8/2002

I now know why ""The Boss"" is one of the world's top 10 wooden roller coaster. It is awesome!! From the 1st drop on, you are zooming along the track. Pros: Amusement/water park Cons: Expensive parking, Expensive Food more

Still Screamin' 5/15/2002

The old wooden roller coaster Screaming Eagle is an absolute classic. Twenty years later, I still remember my first ride. Sure, there are bigger, flashier parks, but Six Flags St. Louis is still a good time. more
