Best

The best wings and best mac & cheese that I have ever hada. The buffalo wings have this sauce that when they bring over the plate if you take a quick whiff it will make you gasp a...

Worst

I would have expected the elitist attitude of Silvertone's hostess ""Mo"" to come from an exclusive, upscale restaurant in New York City, NOT from a place like Silvertone's. She w...

Classy cocktails and feel-good food! 12/6/2002

Silvertone's has the perfect ambiance for a first date, a romantic evening for two, or drinks out with girls! Quality mood lightening adds to the cozy atmosphere which is complimented by great drinks and reasonably price classic dishes more

LOVE THIS PLACE 12/4/2002

JOSH IS THE KING OF WORKING THE ROOM. MAKES EVERYONE FEEL WELCOMED AND THE FOOD MAKES EVERYONE FEEL AT HOME. BEST CHAMPAGNE PRICES IN TOWN FOR THOSE WHO LOVE THE TINY BUBBLES. I WISH I COULD BE A PART OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Pros: JOSH CHILDS, CEDRIC ADAMS, FOOD/SERVICE Cons: GETS PACKED more

This is one of my favorite places in Boston! The food is great and it is wondurfully inexpensive, plus they make their own raspberry vodka-- try it with soda water and a lime, yummy! Pros: Inexpensive, Good crowd, Yummy food more

Busy/Fun Yet Cozy 11/6/2002

We went there for dinner, the bar was packed but we got a table in 20 minutes..(it helped there were two of us). The food was great and well priced. I especially liked the hip and artistic decor yet the casual crowd. No real snobs here. Pros: reasonable pricing, good crowd, good food Cons: basement style more

A Happy Accident 10/5/2002

We tried to get drinks at #9 Park to no avail. Not wanting to be late for a concert at the Orpheum, we meandered down Park Street. Not wanting to be to early, we decided to poke around and see how much the area has changed since we graduated from Suffolk 10 years ago. The neon of the Silvertone beckoned us in from the cold. We ordered drinks and apps at the bar and could not have been more delighted with the food, atmosphere etc. We always try to stop in when we are in that part of the city. Pros: cozy, fair seating policy, awesome cosmo more

Great Mussels 9/27/2002

Went there for lunch on one of those HOT summer days of 2002. It was a great relief to get inside. The staff was courteous and offered us a drink while we waited for a table. That helped us settle in quite nicely. The food was great. I had the mussels. Mussels can be tricky. If not cooked right they are tough and chewy. I don't particulary like my mussels tough! they were delicious. Everyone in my party seemed to enjoy there lunch. I would definitely go back. more

Good Grub, Silly Rules 8/14/2002

Great service, great food, great atmosphere, until I read the back of the menu. Man! An entire list of what you're not allowed to do. Instead of making a list of strict rules on seat time limits and adding friends to your table, let the wait staff break it to you gently. This is plain silly! People go out to relax and get away from the rules and regulations of everyday life. Wake up and let the people be, serve them, don't dictate them. Beware, if you have friends joining you in 10 minutes, don't sit down! Prepare to stand. Waiting at your table for your friend that is parking the car is strictly against the rules at the Silvertone. Yes, I know, it is just plain silly. I will go back again, but I will be eating at the bar where there are less rules to remember. Pros: Food, Service, Good Value Cons: Rules on back of menu, Rules at front door, Parking more

fun place for after work 8/7/2002

I love the new addition they added to the space. Lots more room to hang out and have a cocktail after work. more

Just ok 8/7/2002

I went here one night with my girlfriend. I think we were there a little early around 11. All the people there were much older than us and dance floor, bar and dining area all were pretty much empty. Food was ok, but was disappointed by everything else. I would go back there again to see if it was a fluke more

Best Steak Tips 8/4/2002

Joe's on the waterfront is a ripoff . Why pay $14 for iceburg lettuce? This is the place for good food at a great price. more
