My stay here was perfect. The staff were attentive to my needs and even gave me some freebies. Cool! more

handicap unfriendly 7/10/2011

Great personnel except for security. There is limited handicapped parking and zero enforcement. Security completely ignores federal laws. They say that is their instructions. There are also safety issues if you are a wheelchair user, then it can be dangerous and frustrating. Most of buffet area hard to access in a chair or scooter.Good food and great workers, especially in the gaming section. more

Silverton Casino Lodge- A Paradise on earth! 3/20/2011

With its 300 extensive western styled rooms and suites with 24 by 7 hour room service, this very reasonably charged resort (plus casino!) is found on the south of the Strip. Well, it was my very first trip to Las Vegas. I felt little uneasy and nervous by just a thought of prefabricated image of this city. But then I faced reality when I entered the amazing and friendly atmosphere of Silverton. You not only feel but live royalty! The room was clean and tidy with the most comfortable beds. Its Perfect you cannot improve beyond that. more

A hidden gem in Las Vegas 4/6/2007

Being my first trip to Las Vegas, I was a little apprehensive about staying off of the Strip. Boy was I wrong. The Silverton was great! \r \r First off, the atmosphere of the place is astounding. The lodge feel is something you really can?t find on the Strip. The Casino itself is fairly large and has plenty of excellent gaming options. There is a gigantic Bass Pro Shop attached to the casino that would take literally all day to browse through. \r \r Something else I found really entertaining was the Silverton?s aquarium. I very much enjoyed sipping on an ice-cold beer inside the Mermaid Lounge while watching all the fish and aquatic life swim about in the aquarium. \r \r The room was immaculate. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in and gave me an excellent chance to really rest up for a big day out and about. \r \r Speaking of out and about, even though the Silverton is off Strip, it is not far at all. It is just right down the highway from Mandalay bay, so exploring the normal sights is only seconds away!\r \r Lastly, the dining options are endless. I really enjoyed the Mexican place, Mi Casa. The atmosphere was very lively and menu out of this world. Following dinner, I enjoyed a few margaritas at the bar.\r \r I would recommend the Silverton to anyone visiting Las Vegas. It really is a hidden gem in my book!\r Pros: Great service, value, entertainment and location Cons: N/A more

Season's buffet 11/19/2006

I haven't stayed at the hotel, since I live in Las Vegas, but I wanted to comment on the buffet, Seasons.\r \r Buffets in Las Vegas tend to be either low-budget and low-cost, or high-end and high-cost. This one is on the upper end of the quality and price scale, but you get what you pay for.\r \r Service is attentive and friendly, ambience kind of modern hunting lodge decor. Very pleasant, particularly for a buffet.\r \r Food choices are Italian, Asian, American and seafood. Crab legs (on the $18.99 dinner menu) are very popular and the crowds can result in some wait time, but the food quality is good and they're well-prepared, if not particularly imaginative. I have a thing for their strawberry shortcake, but be sure to get there well before the end of the serving time frame or you may find yourself left out of some of the desserts.\r \r By the way, if you happen to be flying on Southwest, check for a 2-for-1 coupon on the Silverton ad. Pros: Good food Cons: Can result in wait at the buffet line more

WHAT A DIFFERENCE! 9/3/2006

The Silverton Hotel is not the dingy, smoky place it used to be. The place has been completely revamped and benefits from the addition of the Bass Pro Shop next door and accessible from its casino floor. The new Buffet -- the Seasons is very expensive, but worth it if you can find a two for one coupon. I love the gelato bar. There are many more slots and video poker and it no longer has a second class feel to it. It attracts RV travelers because of the Park across the street. PROS: You can make a day of it (or stay at the hotel) because of Bass Pro Shops CONS: Heavy traffic in the area. more

Love the poker room, love the guest room, and love the twin creek. 2/17/2006

I love the poker room here. The chairs are so comfy. I can sit there forever playing poker. :) The room has also couple big plasma tv hanging on the wall. It can accomodate about 4 poker tables. I just love the room, it's the right size. The staffs are friendly as well. They have a steakhouse restaurant called Twin Creek, you have to try it. I love their food. The price is not bad for a new best voted steakhouse in town. more

Pro bass shop 8/26/2005

This hotel and casino is located off the strip. It caters mostly for locals, but travelers are also welcome. The casino is not that big otherwise. They have the famous pro bass shop, it's a huge store that sells all kind of sporting equipments. The room is nice and the price is not that bad. more

Re done yet still needs work on steakhouse 8/15/2005

LOVE the new look and Bass Pro This new addition of Bass Pro does draw a LOT of people the new coffee shop offers a LOT of great food for the price and service is fine The "Steakhouse" well everything we ordered was cold ! COLD butter would not melt only sat on the baked pot and vegatables ! NOT FOR ME and when we said it was cold not correction of anything to say . . . . and well for the price I want HOT FOOD and someone to say something when two people go and every item to cold and some not even eatable ! more

A nice place with a great buffet 8/11/2005

We like playing here as there is not alot of smoke and they have great slots. There are always lots of people there but it doesn't feel that way. They have a wonderful buffet . PROS: Easy access from the freeway, great slots and food. CONS: more

they have remodeled, done a good job,yet the food really sucks here, and is high priced,no breakfast special,no more karaoke in the lounge,it was there for 8 years, and went over well, both restaurants need improvement in the food, terrible food!and high prices PROS: food is awful, and high,no specials CONS: get karaoke back, was there for 8 yrs, everyone misses it more

Silverton Review 8/2/2005

This place is horrible. Half of the hotel is a fishing store... so, you can tell only older people stay here. And the food is nasty, I bet the food served isn't even approved by the FDA! But, if you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the Las Vegas strip, and you are a senior citizen, this place is for you! more

Everything is great 8/1/2005

I have been back to Silverton many times. The slot machines are all brand new and the restaurants are excellent. The people are all there having a great time and really want their customers to enjoy themselves. The atmosphere is wonderful. My favorite part about the Silverton is the large fish tank. I could stand there and watch the fish forever. My husband is a huge fan of the Bass Pro Shop. It is very neat. They have everything for the outdoors. I would definately recommend Silverton to people. Even if they are not gamblers, there is so much to look at and enjoy. more

LOVE THIS ONE 7/30/2005

The Silverton is a nice place to stay. They have done a lot of remodeling and it is beautiful. It is not one of the great big ones but this makes it cozier and easier to get around. They have a large fish tank when you first walk in and it is so beautiful. Divers go in and feed the fish and mantereys. really neat. Theirs rooms are very clean and comfortable. Also found the food very good. And most importanly their slots are fairly loose and a lot of fun. more

Silverton Review 7/28/2005

This place isnt very nice. it isnt trump towers, but its better than a motel 6. the restraunts arent that great either. i could get the same food for cheaper some where else. more

A good place for old people 6/23/2005

They just remodled not long ago and it look really good. The hotel price is very affordable but the place is small. They used to have an arcade for kids but they turn it into a bathroom. This place is a great place for older people, not younger one. The deli have really good food but they dont open it much anymore. The buffet is alright but there's barely anything to eat. The Steak House price is a little high but the food is great and you feel like at home in there. more

Great place to stay for a price you can afford 6/4/2005

The Silverton isn't the Venetian, so I can't give it a 5 star, but it's a great, low hassle place to stay. The rooms are affordable despite the fact that they've just been remodled and look great, the casino is small but you won't get lost, the restaurants and buffet are great and you won't want to miss their absolutely huge outdoor sportsman shop. They recently redid the Silverton and gave it an lodge feel to it. It works and for locals or tourists, it's a place you'll want to revisit. PROS: Type of place you can get to know and call your own CONS: Way off strip, don't stay here unless you have a rental car more
