I have shopped at Silversmith Gallery's Marq*E location while their clothes are overpriced they are cute and in short quantities the jewelry is or was reasonably priced you are able to find a wide variety of charms and bracelets much cheaper than at another well known silver shop for the price you pay for one charm at the other WELL KNOWN shop you can can three or more, so don't avoid this unique store just because the owner prices her clothes way too high! I recently went to SIlver Smith to browse after receiving rave comments from my girlfriends about how much they loved this place. I will admit, the clothes are cute, but EXTREMELY overpriced. Last weekend I went to my favorite ""throw away"" clothing store on Harwin. They have cute, trendy clothes for an awfully cheap price, you will never pay over $28 for a dress. Now, the quality is not the best and the stuff doesn't last long, but neither do the trends. Anyway, after shopping at my Harwin haunt, I went to Silver Smith to see if I could find something really unique. BOY did I ever!! What I found were the EXACT SAME DRESSES down to the label, that I saw on Harwin for TRIPLE THE PRICE!!! There is a pink dress in the window now and the price tag on it is $50, I got it on Harwin for $20. I felt completely ripped off. These small boutique stores mark up their prices on originally CHEAP clothes...they just make you believe that the iems are top quality due to the location from which you are purchasing them, but it couldn't be farther from the truth. I happened upon this little undiscovered gem by accident when I stopped in to ask for directions and ended up falling in love with the place. Here you will find the trendy style and unique items that you've come to expect from shopping Houston's boutiques, but without the ""boutique"" price tag. Unlike Pixie & Ivy a few stores down, which sells $300 t-shirts, at Silver Smith you can get a cute cocktail dress to wear out that night for under $70. (I found a slinky backless halter dress on clearance for $29!) They only carry 6 of each item, two small, two medium & two large, and when they're gone, they're gone, so you don't really have to worry about running into someone wearing the same outfit, and they get new items in each week.
