Thank you for the wonderful dogs 6/28/2011

Just a short update about our Beagle boys. Hunter the oldest is still a picky eater, most often has to be hand fed hamburger or steak, his new nick name is princess buttercup, he requires lots of special attention. Olver the middle dog who as a puppy was very disobedient and refused to listen, now has taken a complete turn around. He is sweet and good, he looks into my eyes with such love, I melt. Copper the baby is a bunch of fun. And is very protective of what is his. But none the less very cute. Thank you for the 3 wonderful dogs. They are so different and yet so wonderful to have around. more

Wonderful experience 6/20/2011

Thank you for the wonderful experience at your kennel and for Gemini, our newest little member of the family. We were wishing we could have somehow taken all of them. But I think he will keep us plenty occupied and entertained! Our trip home was not too bad, He must have been ancious and nervous in his first car trip, and he decided the ""Fit-n-Trim"" wastn as good as he thought when we were filling out the papers. We stopped off the highway and cleaned it up and he slept a majority of the way home. He was such a precious little bundle. Well, it was a good thing we were only about 20 minutes form home because all of a sudden he woke up and gave us a little ""gift"" that sent hte car window surrying down! I know the puppy food didnt smell that bad going in! We all got quite a chuckle! We arrived at our in-laws around 11:45 pm!!! They came out and were just soo surpriced at our new addiciton and Gemini didnt disappoint. Well rested and much lighter, he proceeded to lay on the charm and entertain us all on the gront porch, right down to grabbing his leash in his mouth an dcarrying it around, He is such an alert and confident little dog and he really enjoys people. He is still trying to figure out his reflection in windows and mirrors, though. That one is throwing him for a loop. Of course, it si s agood thing the grocery stores are 24 hours, so a quick stop for puppy food and some other puppy necessityies were needed. We brought him home where it was nice and quiet and peaceful. We introduced him to the house and slowly let him investigate the upstairs for a while. he couldn't take in enough, and we quickly learned what ""puppy-proofing"" improvements were needed for his safetyand to protect our valueables. He loved checking out everything! We were planning on a somewhat restless night, but we weree very surprised by him. We introduced him to his bigger kennel and slowly he got used to going in it. When we shut the door, he whimpered somewhat but then he got used to it. When he noticed we were going to sleep too in a the same room he figured he might as well get some shuteye after a long day. The only noices he made all night long were that of shifting in his kennel to do a differenet resting position and a little puppy snoring! He slept until 8;30 am when my wife gets up.. We have had a few accidents in the house, but we are starting to develop a routine and housebreak him.. Today we left him in his kennel alone for 4 hours, and hwen we returned, hadn't wet or pooped in his kennel. It took him out to his potty place and he went outside. Of course, he got lots of priases for that! We are really enjoying his company and we can tell he is a very confident dog, but not too overbearing all the same. He is afraid sometimes, like trying to go down the stairs a this point. Going up he figured out, going down is alot more dangerous and scary for him. We wont push him too much, but rather let him build up his confidence and conquer the down portion when he is ready. more

I am so happy with our cockapoo 6/10/2011

I am soo happy with my cockapoo, we purchased from you in march. We named him Jak, although we usually call him honey or sweetheart or some other term of endearment. He has adjusted so well to his new home and been such a joy!! We have so much fun with him. He's adjusted soo well to his new home and has been such a joy!! We have soo much fun with him. He's adorable and everyone he meets falls in love with him instantly. There is no lack of attention where he's ocncerned. The more we get to know him and his personality, the more we love him.. He plays hard, then sleeps soo soundly (even through the vacuum!) He has a plush little bed that he seems to love, and likes to be tucke din with a blanket and have the radio on at night. He loves Ice cubes and frozen rags tied in knots for his little teeth. He is a very smart puppy, and will run to the telephone and bark when it rings! He seems to have grown so much since we've had him.. we're taking lots of videos of him. ITs as if we adopted a child. Thank you for this beautiful bundle of love, Silver Lining. The purchase went smoothly and the young man who helped us was so pleasant. We had alot of fun taking care of him so far. If anyone we know wants a puppy, we'll send them your way. Heck, we might even be back for another one of them ourselves. more

Appreciation for you 6/2/2011

I have come over more than once since I got my Maltese puppies that were born in May. I've been meaning to write this letter for quite some time but haven't gotten around to doing so! If silver lining kennels was closer to home, we would stop by more often just to visit. We are located in St Paul. They are growing up so fast its unbelievable! I took them to work for a visit and my coworkers wanted to keep them- NOT a chance! They are so full of energy and funny, i saw them hide one of their toys from the other one. She tucked a treat away from her later. Hilarious!! We will soon get them in for their puppy shots, Time flies!! I just wanted to say that I have so much enjoyed coming to visit your kennels the dogs seem well cared for and when I talk to you and your children. They seem like they really love their animals and that is important to me. I think that it takes special people to host the petting zoo's and something like the live animal Nativity- That must be great! Let this letter serve as an endorsement of Silver Lining Kennels and a note of appreciate for their family. I have told lots of people about them and I'm sure that happens all the time through people who have gotten their pets from Silver Lining Kennels. more

Fabulous addition to the fam 5/31/2011

I drove over from Minnesota December 28th and bought a female out of Keyarra and Dude. My daughter named her princess Keyarras Eva. We LOVE her and she is doing beautifully. She's fairly well potty trained. She was given her puppy shots a couple weeks about. When we were there, the vet said she should be fixed at 4 months rather than wait till shes 6 months because they heal faster, so we brought her in the next week. Shes had her shots and surgery at the Animal Health Center. She healed up just great! The vet said her blood work came back and it looks really good. He also said that she has the best temperament in a mini daschund that he's ever seen before and to do whatever we had to do to keep her that way! ;-) Thanks so much! Shes a fabulous addition to the family! more

Thank you 5/26/2011

I wanted to write and thank you for one of the most memorable holiday experiences we have had. We purchased a miniature daschund from you on Christmas Eve day and presented the puppy to our three children that evening. It was a complete surprise to my kids and all three said this was the best Christmas ever. We named our puppy Wilson and he has quickly become part of the family. He has already been paper trained and hopeuflly when it gets a little warmer outside, we can potty train him outside. He still does not like to g o into his kennel at night, but last night he made it through thte night with only one brief whimper. I wanted you to know how much we have enjoyed WIlson. He has showered us with love all day long and has quite a personality. i even admit that I look forward to the end of the day so I can rush home and see him. I laugh because I'm a football coach and our players should get quite a laugh when I drive up to practice with this fur ball on my lap! more

Very well 5/17/2011

I just wanted to update you and give you some picttures of the puppy we bought from you in February. We decided to name him Woody. When we first brought him home he didn?t do much except sleep. It was basically like having a baby, he wouldn?t sleep through the night for about 2 weeks. It didn't take him long to figure out how to go up and down the steps. He is just soo much fun. He found his voice, but lucky for us he only uses it when we play. We have a lot of pictures of him sleeping. Woody is about 12 pounds and 6 ounces right now. He loves to play outside and he love's to play with Mike's parents dog which is a German Shepard/Husky. When she gets annoyed with Woody she just will smack him with her paw. Another thing that woody took a liking to was licking and sucking on peoples ears. Hes a very affectionate puppy. He is also really well behaved. We drove to Oklahoma and back with him back in June and he rode very well. Just wanted to give the world an update. more

BOUGHT A GREAT HEALTHY and HAPPY PUPPY! 5/1/2009

I have visited Silver Lining Kennels several times looking for my perfect puppy. Everytime I showed up I was very very impressed with the cleanliness of the kennels and the knowledge base the family had of the different puppies. In meeting the family members I realized they have a true love for dogs and animals. This is also a very important element for me showing the care that animals need.
