Silver Diner

Love this place. we even know a few waitresses by their names! Very friendly, really good food usually. One meal there was a problem and the manager got right on it and corrected what was wrong ASAP. Then a free meal voucher also. Also love the Blue Plate club ~ we've saved about $50 so far. great program. On Tuesdays it is kids night which entertainment for kids is brought in. Singing, baloons, games. Very fun. And the shakes... yummy! more

When you go to the Silver Diner – Springfield, you know what you are getting in to. Sometimes it’s comforting to have predictable surroundings, a familiar menu, and oldies on the jukebox. It’s definitely a family-friendly place with the music, bright colors, and neon signs. I prefer to go on outside regular meal times to avoid the lines at the door and waits for service. The shakes and malts are great. I’m not looking for diet food when I eat here. So the view out the front isn’t the most scenic (Franconia Road and the stone wall of the overpass), this place is a good place to hang on a Saturday afternoon. more

The Silver Diner in Springfield is just like the Silver Diner in Clarendon -- same menu, same jukeboxes on every table. It's definitely a great place for a quick meal. The menu is pretty extensive, with some blue plate specials each day of the week and breakfast all day long. Their crab cake sandwich is pretty good, and I've always enjoyed their Cobb salad. For breakfast, I love the french toast! As another poster noted, they also have excellent milkshakes! Once nice thing is their frequent customer card -- after a certain number of visits you get a free meal! more

This place is a retro diner complete with barstools that spin. There is plenty of room to bring the kids though. Their booths are very large and each have a jukebox which can keep kids entertained for awhile. They also give fold out cars to the kids with crayons too. Nice touch. The food is always terrific. I love their meatloaf and their biscuits are divine. My kids will eat anything here. The milkshakes are super. more

This is one of my favorite places to eat. its near by my house and the milkshakes are good and the entree's are priced resonalbly. also the service is pretty good which comes with this 110% satisfaction program where if ur not satisfied with what u had and u tell the manager. they give u like ur meal 10percent off and ur next meal free more

Out of all the places in the world, i choose to eat here! I could eat here all day everyday! The 110% guarantee totally does it! The service is terrific! everyone there is so super friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. It is like an upgrade from ihop. The food guarantee makes u eat with ease, becasue if something's not right, they'll give u a free meal on the next visit, and take 10% off your bill! They'll also replace your meal along the way... Oh and to mention the MILKSHAKES!!! they are made with Bryer's ice cream! the most popular and costly ice cream of the households, which we all love, are used in the milkshakes recipe which is nothign more than milk, ice cream, and that's it! The chocolate milkshake is made with pure chocolate ice cream and wholesome milk! They also have great favorites like the snicker's shake and oreo milkshakes (my favorite, by the way). I give this restaurant a five star! more
