I live in Pittsburgh and was in the market for furniture. I shopped at all the Pittsburgh stores and could not find what I was looking for. I wanted more selection of reclining sofa's in more colors and fabrics. I saw all the ad's for Sheely's and decided to take a look. They had a huge selection and the salespeople were very helpful and knowledgeable. After selecting a matching power reclining sofa and chair, I had several issues with the quality, basically it was defective cushioning or foam support. I was very impressed that after speaking with Sheely's management, they went above and beyond to make it right. The issue was not with Sheely's, it was with the manufacturer of this particular make and model. Any store can have this issue, it is how they handle the issue that is important. They called the manufacturer and were willing and able to convince the manufacturer to take back the defective sofa. I was able to come back into the store and select something from a differe more

You know the old saying, "You get what you paid for". Well, this certainly applies to this place. Great prices, no service. If you have a problem with something you bought, good luck getting any help. Once they have your money, they don't care about you anymore. The wife and I will never shop there again. Horrible place. Had the same exact problem as Shady Sharyn, They do not stand behind the quality of the furniture they sell. Notified them day after delivery of issues with new furniture and ""repairman"" that they sent said ""thats just how it is""!!!! After complaining per email, I was offered repair that had an expiration date???? What happened to the 1 yr warranty??? I will never deal with this store again. Horrible customer service and the owner Mrs. Sheely is rather snotty. DO NOT BUY HERE! more

In response to ""sueh"". On May 14th, 2012, this customer had a Lane motion sofa and recliner chair delivered. She called Sheely's and set up a service call for June 6th, 2012. Customer did not like that the fabric is gathered and bunches at the back of the seat of the sofa. Technician explained that this is normal for motion furniture because the fabric must give and move as the furniture opens and closes. Some fabrics will gather more than others. The recliner chair had a 1"" gap between the arm pad and the back of the chair. Sheely's offered to replace the entire chair or replace the arm pad. Because the customer did not like the tailoring of the sofa fabric, Lane offered to give her a FULL in store credit and let her reselect anything else she wanted or to have both pieces replaced with the same fabric. She wasn't sure what she wanted to do. Then, on June 13th, she was given the opportunity to meet with the Lane sales rep and work with him on fabrics and styles in the store. She refused to make the drive to Sheely's. She could have had the entire issue resolved that day. On June 26th, she was told she needed to decide whether she wanted to reselect all new furniture or have just the chair replaced by July 6th, 2012. That was 7 weeks after delivery. This has nothing to do with her warranty. She still has a full warranty on her furniture. Sheely's and Lane offered her every option and she could not make a decision as to what she wanted. more

Things you must know about Sheely's 8/6/2012

The most important thing to know about Sheely's\r I had a hard time finding what I was looking for, I was trying to match a fabric. I even had a swatch with me. Every where I went I was shown a Chinese sofa with fabric that was poorly dyed. When I went to Sheely's the sales lady could tell I was stressing. I told her about my problem and that I want a quality sofa with a quality fabric that matches. I would like it to be American made or local. Unlike the other stores I was quickly shown to a company called Charles Schneider Furniture. They must have had every fabric I could think of. The sales lady said I can pick any fabric and she will call the factory so they can make it just for me. I ended up going with a beautiful plaid(the plaid is perfectly lined up on the cushions!) with extra firm cushions(for my knees). I have had the sofa for months, it sits like it is brand new. more

Terrible Customer Service 4/4/2011

Sheely's actually deserves a -2 stars. They sell furniture that they tell you has a warranty, but when there's a problem with a brand new sofa, they want you to pay for any repairs. The manufacturer of the sofa says Sheely's is responsible for repairs in the first year after the sale. If Sheely's doesn't want to live up to that agreement, they shouldn't be selling the brand. Bottom line, if you're considering a major furniture purchase, try another store. Sheely's does not back a sofa they sold when the frame is making a cracking sound five days after delivery in a home with two adults and no children. more

I think Sheely's offers good selection, good prices, and good sales service. \r I was unhappy to learn that since I lived in Cleveland I would be required to pay $100 fee for them to come and look at my furniture problem even though it is under warranty - if the warranty were expired, I would be required to pay $180 in total plus labor unless of course I wanted to cart my furniture back to them for repair. Can understand their position, but a $500 chair will cost me half that for a repair if it is outside warranty. I think I will have to shop closer to home. more

This is the best place to buy whatever you need 3/1/2008

Well we went to Sheelys after having a bad experience at Best Buy. We expected to find the prices to be a bit high. We were wrong. When we walked into the store we were greeted. When we found the stove we wanted a salesperson explained to us how to use everything on it. We were able to get next day delivery too for free. Also a cord came with the stove. At Home depot and Best Buy you had to buy the cord at an additonal cost. The delievery people came dropped off the stove and then half an hour later the stove was on fire. A cord was left inside the oven. We called Sheelys, they apologized and delievered another stove before 10 am. I would will be returning to the store for many years to come. Also I would believe and comments the are posted anonymously. more

Delivery Damage 12/2/2007

The delivery personnel were in such a rush to deliver the furniture and leave, they scratched our walls and table. Then they denied it and would not pay for the damage!!!! I would not recommend to anyone this furniture dealer due to poor service and dishonestly. more

First Class in my book 7/19/2005

This is definitely a first class furniture and appliance store. Great items to choose from and a very large display as well. Helpful and courteous sales staff. And free delivery on top of all that. What more can you ask for? And they will even haul away your old items at no extra charge too. more
