Great practice. Everyone here is very professional. It is a very nice and comfortable practice having the latest technology. I've always been told upfront about my treatment plan and what my insurance will pay so I have never had any problems or surprises. I highly recommend it!! more

I made the best decision to switch here after my dentist of many years retired. I always see the same faces and same hygienist for each visit. Whenever I?ve had a question they always listen to me and spend extra time answering it. It is rare when a dentist or a Doctor actually listens to you these days instead of just interrupting you and giving you a canned answer. I have recommended this practice to several of my friends and they all have had good experiences. I recommend. more

I no longer fear the dentist. Everyone here was not only gentle and caring but I never felt that I was going to be surprised with an extra bill. The secretary went over my insurance and I knew exactly how much I would have to pay. I never had any surprises and I needed a lot of work! And the best part was that I never felt anything during the many fillings. I highly recommend. more

My family and I have all had great experiences. My two little ones are seen by Dr. Jay the pediatric dentist. My husband and I are both seen by Dr. Shakun and sometimes the other dentists. When my husband needed a tooth pulled, one of the dentists there did it, he did not have to go to an oral surgeon. He had no pain during the pulling. When I needed a root canal, Dr. Shakun did it, and I did not have to go a root canal specialist. There is no need to go to any other office because they can do everything. And all the hygienists there, especially Theresa, are really great. We won't go anywhere else. more

I?m a REAL dental phobe and I put off coming to the dentist for a long time. Finally I was in so much pain I had to go. I called and they were able to squeeze me in the next day. Everyone was really nice and understood how scared I was, they all did their best to make me feel comfortable, especially the assistants. Ultimately, they had to pull the tooth, but the dentist who did it was really nice and I didn?t even feel it when he gave me the shot! I still don?t like going to the dentist, but next time I will go to them again. I?ve recommended them to my friends already, and they have gotten good experiences as well. more

If your looking for a good dental office, this is not the place!!! i had a bad experience! The manager Cindy is extremely unprofessional. She is very rude and does not have good communication skills with the patients. She raised her tone of voice while discussing a bill that I had questions on. It seems like she trys to sound professional but did not make sense. Its seemed to ovious she has never worked in a professional enviroment. I am extremely shocked. Not sure who is in charge of this office but as someone else mentioned in another review, it really seems like the manager is higher than the owner. I maybe alittle observant but i was also a bit surprised to see so many tattoos on employees as well. Every time i get my teeth cleaned i always have a new hygienist and it seems like there is even a high turn over rate with dentists as well. more

This dental practice may be fine if you need nothing but routine cleanings. But anything other than that - be careful! I saw two of their dentists within 2 months of each other and they recommended totally different, and very expensive, treatments. They also seem to have a revolving door with both dentists and hygienists - I haven't seen the same one twice in 3 years of going. I don't have any issues at all (confirmed by my new dentist) so I kept going for the cleanings until my husband had the same experience and we decided to change. There are lots of great dentists in West Hartford, so keep looking. more

They do good cleaning. Besides that I don't know what good they are for. If you are there for any other dental issues, be prepared for more than one visits because their doctors don't know what they are doing and they don't do a good job at first time. Simple thing like filling cavity, they will screw up so bad that even after you go home, you are still in pain and can not chew anything for 2 - 3 days and then you have to call for another visit to get it fix. And that too, if you get lucky, it will be fixed else, you need another appointment. On top of it their office staff even tops their doctors. They will bill you for the visits that you shouldn't be even paying for. They will double bill your insurance company so you have to call your insurance company to fix this mess. And this billing lady, her name is Cindy is the worse person to deal with. She will never accept that she made a mistake and billed the patient worngly or the insurance company so your phone bills between their office and insurance company will be so high just to clean up her mess. Dr. Shakun is the only doctor who knows his work but he is very hard to get hold off. Our whole family was going to this office but after so many bad experiences, we have decided to switch the doctor.
