We pre-paid over $750 for 2 properties to be snow plowed in August '07 and was assured that we would have "First Priority" status as a customer for the snow plowing season '08, a)because we pre-paid and b)they would plow according to our work schedules. Yet when it snowed heavily on or around March 8th, no snow plowing was done until Monday morning after we were unable to leave the driveway for the entire weekend. I missed two events and hurt my back when I tried to get out on Sunday and had to dig around the tires. When we called the company, a greeting was left stating that customers should not be calling nor should they be leaving messages. It basically scolded any one that needed a response because we the customer should understand that they the contractor are busy and that they would plow priority customers first once on Friday, Sat. and Sunday. This did not happen. Every other drive in the neighborhood was plowed by their contracted companies regardless of the weather that weekend. The streets were well taken care of by the city. Yet when I called Shaker Landscaping I was given every excuse they could think of, including that the city did not plow the streets well enough. Never use this company as they do not use contracts. They claim that their flyer is their contract once they receive payment. Get it in writing! What a scam!
