Shadow Warriors Ninjitsu

I trained at this place for several months and was good friends with people who had been there longer. This guy is a joke and so is his training. He'll teach you Hawaiian Kempo but he'll call it Ninjutsu. He's full of crap and while I have no doubt that he could put some harm on someone it's not Ninjustsu and his bark is worse than his bite. I've trained since I was 7 years old in many forms of martial arts and this guy is by far the worst teacher I've come across. He plays politics with his students and doesn't know the meaning of honor. This review doesn't matter much anyway because I went by the dojo today and saw the place was gutted and there was a note on the door that said Steve had abandoned the place without paying rent. He walked out. That should tell you all you need to know. more

I trained at this dojo for 4 years till my job conflicted with the class schedule. this was the best training I have ever had. the classes here will build your body , make you stronger, and teach you to fight. The two negitive reviews below are very bitter. This dojo is hard, and is not for everyone. but that is what I wanted. I've trained at 5 dojo, most of which gave me a belt every 4 months or so, and I don't feel I learned much. but here I struggled and fought for each belt and I still charish each one today. and as soon as my work schedule no longer conflicts I will be back. this is a great school, the best in LA. Don't let someone that does not believe in themselves like ""lieutenantbill"" or ""frankdux1"" convey a message about something they couldn't handle! Pros: Only the strong ones survive the training! Cons: The weakers ones quit and become complainers! more

I completely disagaree with ""lieutenantbill"" and ""frankdux1"". I have trained here long enough to know, while not a perfect teacher, he is an excellent one. This ""little man"" (as lieutenantbill says) can bring down any person of any size that is put in front of him. And as far as real fights are concerned, they work. I work in place that require me to ""control"" people on a regular basis. The techniques I learned have saved my (rear) on more than one occasion. If they didn't work, then why do Sheriffs, LAPD, Marines, and Army members STILL train here? You tell me. I have a feeling the other comments left here are bitter old student(s)/quitters who couldn't handle the hard training. You EARN EVERY rank here. That comment about buying ranks is simply not true. But don't take my word for it, go visit and ask the instructor to convince you if it works or not. Pros: techniques learned here work in a REAL fight. Cons: Takes alot of dedication and time...you gonna need it more

If you want to learn martial arts, steer clear of this place. Expect to spend 45 minutes of your class listening to this so called ""grand master"" talk about how amazing he is, then spend the rest of the times repeatedly doing push up after push up. The instructors ""small man complex"" causes him to challange his students in order to make himself look better. No matter what this little man does, he will remain a joke. Pros: Learn how to not spend your time Cons: No martial arts training what so ever more
