Great service and polite people. I had a great experience with the business and got excellently installed blinds from a man that fit around my schedule to personally come out to my home and put them up himself. The service woman was an excellent polite young lady who gave me great help picking out the best quality blinds for me. I would greatly recommend this small business to many people. more

Quality products/Poor customer service 8/11/2011

Please note that I really like to support locally-owned businesses...especially in this economy. However, I would pass on this one. They have a good visual selection w/ actual shades and exhibit books; and have quality products. HOWEVER, the customer service aspect is severely lacking. The gal who runs the shop can give you limited suggestions, but she does not have any designer skills. So basically, you need to know what you want when you walk in. The installer guy/helper is pretty abrupt almost to the point of being rude...no kidding. Finally, the hours are from 9-5pm. What about us working folks (who work 8-5 or 6) who need at least 1 open evening (Thursdays?) to spend time looking at all the samples in the shop?! They are open on Saturdays. However, it is almost an intrusion if you walk in there and need some help from that guy...again, no kidding. I guess they aren't ""hungry"" enough for business. 'Go figure...in light of today's business climate!! If it was my business, I would be doing everthing I could to expand the base, and genuinely service my customers!!! more

I learned how the honeycomb shades are more energy efficient than the metal blinds I originally wanted. They let me take samples home for the weekend and did not pressure me for a quick decision. more

Looked good, until I found out when I actually used the shades that one didn't fit! 10/27/2008

I ordered what I considered quite expensive shades for five windows. I checked the shades to be sure they worked as they should. They didn't pull up completely out of sight as they should have. The installer said that if I 'pulled harder' they would go up and stay. I convinced him that I shouldn't have to 'pull harder' to make them work. He adjusted them ( it took him only a couple of minutes) and they did work better. When I found out that the shade for the door hadn't been ordered, I prompty ordered it. It was installed at a different time by the same installer/salesperson/(owner?). I didnt' check this one and I didn't use it for a long, long time. Then, alas, I dropped the shade only to find that it was about three inches short! It didn't/doesn't cover the window! I have tried to call and have left messages - they don't seem to ever answer the phone - and I did get one return call at a time when I couldn't answer the phone. I ordered a shade that I wanted to 'disappear' most of the time and I knew that I would seldom use it. Unfortunately, I ordered another group of shades before I knew that one didn't fit from the first order. Now I feel really stupid because I have spent a lot of money at a company that I'm sorry I every called! And, yes, in the meantime, I referred somebody else who bought a large order from them! No that's really dumb! more
