I first wanted to try this place when I saw them remodeling the inside of the facility. It took me until last week on Friday to actually go. Immediately upon entering, there is a cordial hostess there to greet oncomers. For those who are not familiar, Shabu is the name for hot pot. A hot pot dinner is where you have a boiling broth, usually on an individual range of sorts, and you essentially cook vegetables, meat, and noodles in the broth and eat it with sauces.
The dinners come with a plate of veggies, choice of broth, choice of meat or meat combinations, and noodles. They are probably the best deal. I have since returned once, since I am a hot pot freakazoid, and I'm already bored with the vegetables. However, they give you a vast selection. --I'm just rather picky. Their meats are fine in selection, and they give you a few ingredients to make yourself a nice sauce to dip.
GET A SMOOTHIE! Their smoothies are delicious, although the waitstaff tends to be a little too laid back at times and bar items, resultantly, often wait a while. Otherwise, the service is friendly and accommodating. I've had a peach (it's real peaches!) and a redbean. Their red bean soup is OK. I've had better.
It's good, it's relatively inexpensive, and if you're a hot pot fan like me, you should definitely check it out.
Pros: Inexpensive and healthy!
Cons: Service...meh.
