Sewing By the Sea

I have been a customer of Sewing by the Sea for many years and have purchased 2 Pfaffs. They are a great machine and the customer service from Kathy is over-the-top. I visit in the summer and wish my shop at home had the kind of service and low prices that I experience at Sewing by the Sea. I highly recommend this store to all honest people! I have never commented on this type of sight, but wanted to put in an honest appraisal to conteract the lying ebayer who doesn't know how to pack antique items (I asked Kathy about it and saw the hack job the lady did!) more

The owner purchased an antique Pfaff sewing machine from me and wanted me to ship it to her. She said that she had ordered a machine before and it was damaged during shipping and that I should pack it correctly. With her concern, I was surprised that she refused to pay for insurance and said that it was a hassle getting a refund from the post office previously. I shipped the machine and a month later she said that it had been completely destroyed and that she wanted a refund. Her story then changed, she said that she had never received a damaged machine before and that I hadn't packed it correctly. She expected to keep the ""destroyed"" machine and get a refund too. Very dishonest. I will not do business with her in the future. Cons: Dishonest business practices more
