Severance is the longtime home of The Cleveland Orchestra, dating back to the early 1930s. The Hall underwent a major renovation in the 1990s and reopened with an amazing series of concerts. The Hall is an amazing acoustic experience, especially since the 1990s restoration that improved the already excellent sound of the hall and returned the old Skinner pipe organ to service. The best concerts in the Hall are the ones done by the Cleveland Orchestra. The Hall is their home venue. Parking is expensive and you can leave your car in the underground parking. If you are lucky enough to find a metered parking place, you can do street parking close to the hall. Severance Hall is a must see and experience in Cleveland, Ohio! more

Great Orchestra 7/8/2005

Severance Hall houses the Cleveland Orchestra, the best orchestra in the entire world. Admission into the orchestra is very, very competitive, so those who are accepted are the top musicians who have devoted their lives to music. They play traditional pieces by Mozzart and Strauss, and during free concerts attended by the general public, they often play theme songs from movies (Star Wars, Pink Panther) for easy recognition. They are a superb orchestra and should be seen at least once. more
