Great Place! Had my mani/pedi here with my mom for her birthday. We both enjoyed it very much. It was a quiet relaxing time. We both had the gel soak offs for the first time for our nails and it was awesome! A must try. I've found my new nail place! more

Serene Haven always has amazing specials on everything. I love that when you get a great facial you then get a FREE mani & pedi. They do a great job on facials, nails, and eyelash extensions. I have yet to go for a massage. Its a charming, relaxing place. I love going there. more

There's definitely a reason why this salon is #1 for best airbrush tan. It only took about 10 minutes and I was out the door. They even offer one of their robes if you don't want to put your clothes back on! I left the tan on overnight and although it faded a tiny bit the next day...it was the perfect color for me. I have been wearing extensions for about two years. My lashes are very thin and flimsy, it's just I have little to no lashes and it has been hard to find eyelash extension experts who put them on correctly and have them last. Not only did Helen do them correctly, she made them look extremely natural and it has even lasted for more than 2 weeks. My previous horror stories included lash extensions where the stylist would glue all my lashes together instead of individually and caused an infection, or the glue would sting my eyes for a week, or the placement of the lash looked unnatural where my friends asked me if I was wearing extensions. Helen not only individually set my lashes, but she also knew instinctively how to make them fuller without looking like they were fake. Not one person has noticed they were fake! I was referred to Serene Haven for a wax by a friend of mine. I was so nervous to get my first wax but thought I should start doing it to get use to it. Devyn was amazing to say the least! I would send anyone here...she really makes you feel at ease and you can laugh with her too. She's so nice...can't thank her enough! Best wax in the world! This is definitely the place to go for brazilian waxing! I've known Devon for a little while now and she is for sure the best waxer I've came across. I've had plenty of people wax me before and hands down, she is amazing. She's quick but takes her time to make sure you leave satisfied. She's done my wax and my airbrush tan months back and I would send anyone her way for any service! I'm thinking eyelas extensions are next!! I've gotten my nails done twice at Serene Haven and I've also gotten my eyebrows waxed by Devyn. This salon is so nice and CLEAN! The employees are all very nice and friendly. I am NOT going to bad mouth anyone. HOWEVER, I found Devon when she was working somewhere else in the Sherman Oaks/Studio City area. I had never had a bikini wax much less a Brazilian and all of my girlfriends told me about this certain type of waxing with very little pain at this certain salon. I went there and was booked with Devon. She was so very likeable and made me feel comfortable in a rather uncomfortable situation. By the time we were done I was SOLD and wondered what TOOK ME SO LONG TO DO THIS. Unfortunately, she disappeared from the former salon with no way to get in touch with her. I returned only to be put in another uncomfortable situation with the owner of the shop. The waxing this time by the owner was rushed and painful and left my skin in pretty bad shape for a day or two. My friends had the same experience but I'm not speaking for them. Therefore, when I happened to find Devon working at Serene Haven I was THRILLED. Again, NO RUSH and very little PAIN!!! I am in the motion picture industry and am use to working with professionals and I can tell you Devon is the one to see! You will totally appreciate her skilled work as well as her demeanor. more

When setting up the appointment, I asked if they had someone who was good at doing guys' brows. They said, oh yes, certainly, you will be very pleased. When I got there, I had to wait - my appointment started 25 minutes after the original time. I was seen by some blonde. I asked her if she's used to doing mens brows because I didn't want them too thin. she said not to worry. She worked hard, but didn't seem good at what she did. She was a little bit rough with the wax. She didn't trim my brows. After she was done, she didn't even have a mirror to show me the work (telling me I'd have to go into the restroom to look), When I did look, they were too thin. When I told her, she seemed apologetic, but said she just cleaned up the area was not trying to add to take away shape. I figure that if I'm paying an expert to do my brows, they should do whatever needs to be done. If the service were done correctly, the price seemed fair. But there was definitely a lack of skills. Worst, they were dishonest when telling me they'd set me up with someone who was good with with mens brows. I've been wearing my hat to hide my face all day.... Pros: EMPTY AND QUIET!! Cons: LACK OF SKILLS AND DISHONEST PEOPLE!! more

I went in for a brazilian wax with Devon after reading all of the ""wonderful"" reviews I have seen on here, thinking I was going to have a great experience, unfortunately it was the worst experience I have ever had, not from the pain, but from the results! When I was in the room with this girl she kept saying all these great things about the place an the wax, like ""this is the best place, ""I come highly recommended"", ""you'll have no pain"", ""you'll look so nice after, it will be all clean"". So she really had me going, she is a great talker....loves to talk about her so-called talent. Ok, so when she finished, there was still spots of hair that she missed-obvious spots at that! Also the way she pulled off the wax, ripped a layer of skin off and left me discolored, bruised and chapped! She didn't bother to reposition my legs or herself to pull off the wax the correct way or direction! I have had brazilians before and I have never had anyone rip off the wax the way she did. The skin should be taut, but not once did she make sure that it was. It was very painful. I couldn't believe that I spent $60 on her to ruin my skin, and to have me cleaning up all the spots she missed after! Devon is not all that she thinks she is. Don't let her fool you when she's talking herself up. She has horrible service and was a waste of money. If you are going to spend that much, you should not have to retouch the work yourself! She is way over priced! I would recommend other places over her, like Sweet dreams on Ventura blvd. They are way better priced and have much better service! Devon is a phony! I love love love this place!!!! It's so nice to find a full service salon like this. No, they don't do hair but I already go somewhere for that so it's okay! I can get nails done, get waxed....get a facial every now and then....it's just the best! There is a new waxer here she is amazing!!!!!!! Deven was the best bikini waxer I have ever gone to. Recently went into Serene Haven to do the special they have going on. If you purchase a one hour facial, you get a FREE mani/pedi!! How cool is that? You can relax for a whole hour with a spectacular facial, then do some more relaxing as they do your mani/pedi which was great as well! Total fan of this place and will continue to come. Serene Haven is my favorite salong for nails and eyebrow waxing. They recently started using a new wax for the eyebrows that is a lot less painful than regular honey wax. The rooms are cute and they whole entire staff is just wonderful...so friendly. Enjoy green tea or cold water during your mani/pedi and you can do that and get a wax within an hour or so! I live near the salon but had never really noticed it until the other day. I went in expecting the normal crazy painful bikini wax only to come out smiling and saying it was the best wax I've ever had. I've been searching for somewhere to go and finally found it! That's a great feeling. Devon was amazing and is very quick. She also talked to me about facials and reccommended a great product for me so I'm thinking of trying a facial out too. I have been meaning to make a comment for about a week now....I got a mani/pedi and an eyebrow wax a little while ago here. My mani/pedi was so relaxing and I was offered some tea too=) On top of that....I got a great eyebrow wax! The esthetician (I'm sooo bad with names...blonde girl) mentioned that she would really appreciate it if I made a review on this website.
