A necessary service 2/16/2006

Septa provides a necessary service in the region. The regional rail lines are clean and efficient..the city bus service less so. I always choose the train, subway or el over diving if I have the choice. I'll use the buses if the weather is bad. If you have to go through one of the transportation centers, pick up a pack of tokens to save yourself money on those days you decide to use Septa. more

You can go through all the city and suburbs 2/4/2006

Septa is great because if you don't have a car then you can really rely on them. I think that the routes are very easy to follow so getting lost is not a worry. The connections are very good and the drivers do stick to their schedules. However I think sometimes the drivers are a little impatient especially when people try to ask for help. I also do not like the subway because it is bit scary and somewhat dirty. And compared to other cities I believe Philadelphia public transportation is a bit high priced. All in all I am a big supporter of septa because it does cut down pollution and traffic in the city. more

Septa Train System Best Transportation Between Philly and Surrounding Areas 8/18/2005

Septa runs the trains and buses that provide public transportation around Philadelphia. In particular, the Septa R1 train goes to all the terminals in the airport twice an hour and returns to several sites in Center City including 30th Street Station which is the central hub connecting to other Septa trains and to all other trains in the city for only $5.50. The other rails are a boon to commuters providing rides to and from the Main-Line and surrounding suburbs conveniently for only a couple of dollars a ride or for an unlimited monthly pass. more
