Best

I have been going to watercress since it opened and it just keeps getting better. The food is wonderful and the service is amazing. Granted sometime things take a bit longer but...

Worst

Three-courses meal for $20 was a deal; however, food wasn't good. Big portions but I was much more interested in quality.

is a cute little restaurant. it's in a fun neighborhood and parking is possible although challenging at times. the service was very attentive and the food was good. they offer an early bird special with a 30.00 pre fix menu which includes an appetizer, entree and dessert. definitely worth trying. more

Food and service at Watercress Restaurant are great without being obtrusive, and it's not surprising that many of the diners there were locals. House white is Verduzzo, and delicious sgroppini arrived, unbidden, on the house, at the end of our meal. Now that's what I call a restaurant. Until 18 months ago this was the popular restaurant - it is not as popular now.. The decor is basic white walls with yellow linen, in a high-ceilinged room which is probably delightfully cool in summer. There's no view - you will have realised that when finding your way here through a maze of narrow streets - but what appears on your plate is certainly worth looking at. more

Food was delicious, waitress extremely helpful and attentive, decor calm and inviting. And the noise level was perfect --- soft music that allowed conversation. more

Watercress Restaurant 8/2/2005

Watercress Restaurant seemed like a nice place to try. It was located on Valencia so parking wasn't great unlike in the Richmond or Japantown. The place was a disappoint. The chairs and tables were wet; being touched over with a wet cloth. The portions were small considering the price. The sushi wasn't very fresh and overly expensive. I ordered the chef's selection and he gave me a bad mix. Not very tasty, or very good, and I thought it was not good for the price. The environment does not seems nice, you don't feel especially "at home" here. I'm not sure what it is. A little crowded, too. more

Great food at low prices 6/25/2005

This is one of my favorite restuarants. The food is French-Asian Bistro. The service is always great when I go there, and the food is delicious. My favorite is the duck confit au orange. As good as the food is, my favorite part of this restaurant is their prices. A three-course meal is only $20, which is an excellent price for food this good. more
