In 1910, this big, round pool replaced the Jefferson Street bathhouse, a floating structure with a slat bottom that was closed due to pollution in the river. The pool generally stays open from mid-June through early September. Abutting the pool is scenic Sellwood Park, which offers a plethora of activities--picnicking, basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, football, horseshoes, even hiking.
