Second Act

I left a large box of items with the person at the desk of Second Act, with my name on it. When I returned later and asked about the status of my account, they denied having received any items from me. more

Nearly a month ago my husband, daughter and I happened to go to this store on a huge sale day. We bought a lot. 2 garbage bags full. We have 5 children. We paid the exact asking price. Yesterday 9/13/19 my husband and I entered the store. I had 2 items in my hand. After entering one of the back rooms an employee told us that before we continued shopping we needed to check something out. She lead us to the counter. On the counter was a sign that stated “If you are a reseller you are not welcome to purchase here”. I was speechless. She had zero idea who I was buying for. I get that any business has the right to refuse service to someone. What I wonder tho is this....how would the consigners feel if they knew this was going on. They take their items there to SELL. Is this a case of fraud? As I’m assuming that if items are left there for maybe 90 days?...that they are “donated”. This place is literally packed. Ceiling to the floors. Many nice things stuffed in dusty boxes and stored under the racks do to lack of room. SHAME on then for assuming about a PAYING customer. more

Are you a sucker for a good deal? Would getting a pair of Tommy Hilfiger jeans for less than $10 make you salivate? Try The Second Act. It's advertised as an upscale retail clothing consignment store. The clothes are gently used. But the bargains are terrific. The drawbacks are that they're not as inexpensive as the other consignment shops in town, and they ask that you return your clothes to the rack yourself if you try them on and reject them. Also, the store is jam packed, literally, and the clothes aren't always on the racks they're supposed to be on. But you get what you pay for and in this case, if you're interested in consignment shopping, go for it. more

The Second Act, located on 538 Olympic Ct , is a smallish store with a big idea. It was originally developed to carry high end slightly used clothing for less than high end prices. this store does the job well! I have personally seen many top brands on the racks for 755 of regular prices and at times much lower prices still. While the selection is not huge the savings are and it can be well worth a trip now and then to check to see if they have that "special something" you need or simply desire. Though I personally have not found much in my size, I have had friends who have happily purchased designer suits for a fraction of the cost at a department store. So, if you want something a bit on the designer side but don't want to pay designer prices...check out The Second Act....it may be just what you were looking for! more

This is a consignment store for clothing. They are picky about what they take in on consignment. Nothing can have tears, stains, or imperfections. They prefer clothing that is "in style" or has a style that never goes out of style. Higher end items - you can get great deals on name brand suits to prom dresses or even casual clothes. Prices aren't bad. Own parking lot and easy to get to. more
