Dr. Lighvani is an excellent physician. the following words come to mind - intelligent; knowledgeable; thorough; compassionate; caring. Although his specialty is allergy, he is perhaps one of the best physicians I have met regardless of specialty. more

Dr. Lighvani, Patty and Karen are the BEST! I love these people! I found Dr. Lighvani because my son was having allergy issues and Dr. Lighvani made him (and me) feel comfortable during the office visits. He really treated his allergies and things improved pretty quick. He's great with kids and he's funny. I realized maybe I should have him check me out too since I had been sick every visit myself. Dr. Lighvani has really helped me to diagnose and treat my allergy problem. His caring, thorough, and attentive manner really makes you feel like you are in professional hands, which you are. He runs his office professionally from top to bottom. Educating his PA's with tidbits of information and having smart and caring people at the front desk. Karen is on it!! Even sitting in his waiting room, his patients discuss how thorough and helpful he has been. Many of us have been to 2-3 drs. for various other issues before seeing Dr. Lighvani. I am in the process of taking allergy shots and they are beginning to help. Patty is very knowledgeable re: allergy meds and a pleasure to see on a weekly basis, that's a BIG compliment since she sticks you with needles every visit. Dr. Lighvani has a very busy office and things seem to run very smoothly over there. They work hard to make that happen. I am very grateful for Dr. Lighvani, his staff and especially Patty and Karen. In addition, these 3 always have warm genuine and beautiful smiles on their face. Who wouldn't want to see that? We need more caring professionals like you Dr, Lighvani and staff!!!! I just saw Dr. Lighvani for the first time today and it was a wonderful experience. The staff sent me paper work ahead of time so that I didn't have to waste time once I got to my appointment. The office clearly has an effective and efficient system due to the no waiting time that I experienced. The doctor was friendly, intelligent, easy to talk to and a true professional. The staff was pleasant, friendly, conversational. I highly recommend this office and will be going back whenever I have an allergy related issue. more

Best place you could go in NYC to get four allergy shots twice a week! :) The doctor and staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and accommodating. For the first time in my life, I don't dread doctor appointments!! more

My seasonal allergies were painfully irritating, frustrating, and utterly miserable. I heard others had success with the shot, so I gave it a try. I was surprised when I learned the time committment required to build immunity to my allergens, but It's been 1 yr now, and my experience thus far this season has been phenomenal. It doesn't knock out every little sensation, and you'll likely still need a pill, but I no longer despise going outside, and can carry on my life without a box of tissues. I would encourage the shot to anyone with a comparably miserable experience during the season. In the end, it's quite worth the time. I have been going to Dr. Lighvani for about a year now. I'm in my 60's and I've had mild allergies most of my life but last year they went into overdrive. When I started with him I'd had a nasty cough for six months and my sinuses were full of mucus. (Two ENTs had told me I needed surgery. ) After allergy testing, it turned out I was allergic to stuff I did not even know you could be allergic to. After only TWO WEEKs of shots, the cough disappeared and the sinuses were secreting normal amounts of mucus. After 6 months of 4 shots twice a week I now go for maintenance shots every two weeks and I ask blessings on the doctor every day of my life. He's the best...and his staff is wonderful too! I've been meaning to write this review for a few months now. I've been going to Dr. Lighvani's for allergy shots for a while now, and the service, if you want to call it that is amazing. From the first appointment the staff was great, and Dr. Lighvani was super. He listened to everything, and pretty much has cured me. Words alone can't describe Sandy, the allergy shot nurse. I walk into the shot room, and it's like I've never left .. we pick up a conversation from the previous week, it's so specialized. She asks about my children, and even remembers business deals said in passing, asks me about trips I've gone on ... she has a great memory! She makes me feel like I'm the only one that matters, even if it's for that 10 minute encounter, and those dreaded 4 ""little pinches"" - I'm really glad to have gone to see Dr. Lighvani, and to have met his staff. Anyone who is considering allergy shots, this is the best place to go ..... Pros: Little pinches Cons: none ... more

This is the best office I've ever been to - I don't understand why anyone would want to go anywhere else!!! Dr. Lighvani was on time and he listened to everything I had to say. His office staff - everyone walks around with smiles on their faces like they really want to be there, and they all go the extra mile to help you. Sandy was amazing, from testing me to explaining allergy shots to me; even calling in my prescriptions to the pharmacy (if you go, ask for her) - I can't wait to get started with the shots. I felt as if my prayers had been answered when I met Dr. Lighvani. Finally a doctor who looked me in the eye while I spoke and listened to me with no interruptions from phone calls and emails. If only all doctors could have his bedside manner! I truly feel cared about not only by Dr. Lighvani but by his wonderfully friendly staff as well. My allergies have consistently gotten worse each year and until Dr. Lighvani I moved from medicine to medicine with what seemed like no help. It wasn't until I starting seeing not only a doctor who is spot on but a staff that are always patient, helpful and willing to go the extra mile to help you and your symptoms that i started to feel some relief. This is the friendliest and most efficient doctor's office I have ever visited. Every single staff member was extremely kind and helpful and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked though the door until the moment I left. And Dr. Lighvani is the best. He has a wonderful personality and really takes the time to listen to and understand your problem and delve into all possible causes and solutions. Not only is he extremely knowledgable, but his bedside manner really sets him apart from other doctors. He is very personable and actually makes you feel glad that you came in. Dr. Lighvani really knows his stuff! Month after month of sinus infections finally landed myself on his door, and I haven't gotten an infection since. Pays close attention to the patients and their allergies. Will spend the time to make sure you know everything that is going on as well. His staff, from his receptionist, to his nurses are amazing. Dr. Lighvani is very thorough and will take the time to listen to all of your symptoms, thereby making connections that other drs might not make...my allergy symptoms and sinus infections have nearly all but ceased since under his care! Plus, the bright side is his office staff. That's a big part of going to a dr--getting the appt and then coming back--if the staff is miserable, it makes everything harder. Luckily, the staff is so friendly and patient, it is a pleasure going there. more

Wow let me tell you this was by far the best Doctors office I have ever went to . The staff was friendly and very helpful. The doctor took the time to discuss my symptoms with me and gave me his full attention. Not once was the doctor interrupted like in so many other offices. I was very pleased with the care. I felt comfortable and I am truly looking forward to returning to this office. I am not quite sure about the negative reviews but in my opinion these people must have the wrong doctor. I have been a patient of Dr. Lighvani for almost 3 years now and I cannot stress how amazing this physician is. He is courteous, thorough with his exams and genuinely cares about his patients. At his office, you aren't just another patient, you're an individual. He takes his time to listen to your concerns and has provided excellent treatment during my time as his patient. He has such an upbeat personality and is so dedicated to his patients that you can tell that this is not just a career for him, it is a heart-felt devotion. I saw Dr. Lighvani many times over a 1 year period for repeated sinus infections. He is patient, usually on-time, comprehensive and truly listens. He will spend as much time with you as you need and you are never rushed out of the office. He even ordered an immunology test on me that had just become available two months before.
