Galveston has plenty of history, but the naval history located at Seawolf park is fun for evew hone. Located on Pelican Island, there are two vessels to peruse. The first is the USS Cavalla, a WWII submarine. The other is the USS Stewart, one of only 3 destroyer escort vessels in the world. You can pay to tour these ships, or just walk around. There is also a fishing pier that you can pay to use. All in all, this is not a bad place to spend a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. Bring the kids.
Bottom Line: Not just for naval buffs, this place is interesting for everyon in the family.
